I couldn't believe how fast weather could change. The moment we left Endless Explosions, the air cooled down significantly.

"Did it just drop fifty degrees?" I asked.

Sectonia shook her head.

"It dropped a lot more than you think."

"How much?" Elfilin asked.

"Do you know how hot the area around a volcano is?"

Geez, was it that hot? Made me feel glad I could float. I could only imagine what going through that was like for the others who couldn't.

"You doing alright?" I asked Daroach, who set his hat back on his head, adjusting it so it sat between his ears comfortably.

"Apart from some scorched paw pads, I'm doing okay. Are you handling everything alright?"

"I can handle heat better than most."

Taranza was far ahead of the rest of us. He had not stopped running even after he entered the vast jungle, but the amount of unkempt greenery did get him to slow down. We weaved our way around trees and vines, and took paths around large bodies of water.

"I need a break," said Shadow Kirby.

Elfilin sat down next to a nearby lake.

"Yeah, me too."

Sectonia saw how exhausted we all were.

"Ter-Ter! We're taking a break!"

Taranza skidded to a halt, turned around, and ran back to the rest of us.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to leave you all behind!"

I wondered how he still had so much energy.

Sectonia gestured for Taranza to sit beside her.

"It's alright. Now come on."

I dipped my hand under the water. It was incredibly refreshing, especially considering the heat of Endless Explosions. I leaned against the tree I was sitting next to, and closed my eyes. The sound of Gryll laughing as Shadow Kirby playfully splashed them with water.

Elfilin's slow, calm breathing, signaling he was asleep. Taranza and Sectonia softly murmuring to each other, in what seemed to be a loving way. It was peaceful. I heard the grass crunch next to me. I opened my eyes, and saw Daroach standing there.

"Oh, hey."

"Hi," he responded.

We looked over to the others, who were still in the calm state I had heard them in.

"It's nice isn't it?" Said Daroach after a little while.

"It really is."

But it didn't last for too long. The peacefulness of Elfilin's dream seemed to have been interrupted.

Elfilin curled his tail tightly around himself, and his eyes were tightly shut. He was trembling. He covered his face with his paws, and his breathing quickened.

"That's not a good sign..." Daroach said quietly.

"Is Elfilin getting another memory?" I asked.

"Maybe," said Shadow Kirby. "As much as I'd love to spare him the pain of the nightmare, if it is a memory, he deserves to know more information about his past."

"S.K.'s right," said Taranza. "We should just hope Elfilin's pulling through, and comfort him when he wakes up."

"I just hope he's okay," I said.
