Part 1

Family.

(Pierre)

I'm watching CJ out back playing with Milo, he's an old dog now, but he keeps up with CJ, Liz asked me when we are going to have our own child. Manny and Jamie won't live here forever, and she knows how much we love him, so get busy with our own child.

I told her we are, in fact Dexter has been working on getting us a surrogate, he's on his way over with some more women for us to checkout their backgrounds, Liz said good.

Jame came in the room all sweaty from his run, he tried to kiss me I told him not before his shower, he told me to join him, Liz told him that's all we think about is sex, bae told her to try it she just might like it. She told him to watch it, or she'll put the broom on him, I told him, he needs to get showered Dex is on his way, bae snuck in a kiss and ran away.

CJ came to the patio door, I walked over and opened it, I said hey little man, he said poppy Milo he is sleeping. Liz came to the door and took CJ's hand, I went out and Milo was lying on the grass I called for him, but he didn't move, I ran over to me aww he's dead. I turned and looked at Liz and CJ standing in the doorway, I shook my head no, Liz told CJ let's go play with his new toys, the went into the house.

I went in the house and up to our room, I went into the bathroom and James said oh I changed my mind about joining him in the shower. I told him, no its Milo he said what about him, I told him he's dead, James looked as if he were going to cry, he cut the water off and stepped out of the shower, bae hugged me.

 Pie, Milo has been a part of the family so long and now he's gone, I know I shouldn't be acting like this over a dog, Pie said Milo was more than a dog, Manny loved him, he said the way he is about that dog he'll be hurt too; Pie had a tear in his eyes.

I said OKAY, Milo is gone, and we'll soon be bringing another life into this world, and we'll get CJ another pup, Pie said but he won't be Milo, we walked into the bedroom, and I got dressed, we went downstairs, and Liz is playing with CJ.

CJ said Papi I want to go play with Milo, I walked over and picked him up, hey buddy, you played with Milo for the last time, he's sleeping now and he's in animal heaven, that's where dogs go when they're tired and want to rest, he said OKAY. I know deep down he doesn't understand, Manny and Jamie came into the room Manny said why the sad faces, Pie told him Milo is asleep that's what we told CJ, Manny asked where Milo is, I told him out back, he and Jamie went out there.

I walked to the patio doors and watched Manny pick Milo up, he held him as he cried, Jamie held Manny my boy loved that pup, we all did. Jamie went to the garage, and came back with a shovel, they walked in the back behind the guesthouse, I told CJ we'll get him another pup he can play with.

The doorbell rang, I looked on the security monitor and it's Dex, Liz took CJ and Pie, and I went into the living room, Pie answered the door and said welcome, Dex came into the room, he said he thinks he found the perfect surrogate for us.

James told me to sit down, I know him something is wrong, I asked him is something wrong did they change their minds about the baby?

No Dex it's nothing like that, Milo died today, he said he's sorry Milo was a part of our family, he said he knows Manny really loved that dog, I told him we all did, but anyway what does he have for us.

Dex gave me a file on a very beautiful woman, I read the file she's twenty-five, and has a very good background, she's in college, I read the reason why she wants to do this, and if we choose her the money is fine with her. I gave Pie the file he read it and said when we can meet with her, I said so he likes what he read, he said he sure does.

Dex told us he'll make the arrangements and we'll go from there, he said he has to get going he'll call us with the details, he said he's sorry about Milo, Pie showed him out, I went out back and Manny had just put the last shovel of dirty on Milo, he said goodbye my friend.

I told him about getting CJ his own pup, he said yeah, they'll do that, I told him we might have found a surrogate, he said that's great, and our baby won't be too young for CJ to play with. We went into the house, Manny said let's celebrate us finding a surrogate, and say goodbye to Milo one life has ended and another begins, Pie said he'll get the champagne, and CJ his apple juice. I'm going to be a father again, Pie too.

While we were celebrating, I did feel kind of sad, I'm so used to having Milo around, that pup grow on me, but we'll have to get CJ his own pup and hope he'll be around until little man is grown. Pie said look at us we have two grown sons and little CJ, and if things go right with the surrogate we'll have another new member in the family, I know bae really wants a kid of his own, I know he loves Manny, but it's something about having your own. If we have a boy, I'll let him name the baby, but James Pierre sounds good, or maybe Pierre James.

After we toasted Manny and CJ went upstairs, Jamie said he wants to show us the new plans for their house, he took it out of his case and showed us, the house has four bedrooms, and three baths, and a play room, Jamie said maybe he should add more rooms, so when our baby comes to stay the night, he's sure they'll be babysitting when we want some time alone.

Pie told James the house looks great, he asked what's that over there, Jamie said oh that's a tree house for CJ, I looked at it and said it's almost as big as their house, Jame said it's for Manny too. Pie said he's sure it's for him too, James said it is, Liz came into the room and said dinner will be ready soon, so we need to wash up, she knows James and Manny had poor Milo's body in their hands, Jamie kind of had a sad look on his face, he went upstairs.

Liz said she's not going to cry she misses Milo already, she left the room, Pie had tears in his eyes, we both kind of cried, goodbye Milo.
