Part 4

The phone call.

(Jamie & Clint)

I got a call from Rachele, I haven't heard from her in a few years, the last time we talked she wanted me to get money from Manny so she could go on some trip, she said I owed it to her, I just hung up. This time sis didn't ask for money she just wanted to meet with me at The Ole Pink house restaurant, she didn't say why just be there at one sharp.

I told Manny about my call, he said if she wants money, he'll just give her some so she can stay out of my life, every time she calls or shows up, I'm sad and no one will hurt me.

I told him she's not getting any money, I'll hear her out and tell her if she wants to be a sister stop only calling when she wants something, Manny walked over to the dresser and got his check book, I told him no, he said he signed it, just fill in the rest, he put the check into my shirt pocket, he kissed me and said deal with my sister once in for all.

I told him I'll be back and let him know what it's all about, it would be nice if she just wanted to see how I am, I left and CJ is in the living room with James, Pierre came into the room. He said from the look on my face somethings wrong, I told him it's something I have to deal with once in for all, Pierre told me if I need to talk there here for me. I told both of them thanks, and I told CJ daddy has to see his auntie Rachele, James looked at me and asked am I alright seeing her. I told him right now I don't know, I left and walked out the door and headed to the restaurant.

When I got there, I saw Clint, he saw me and walked over to me, he said he got a call from sis more than likely I did too, I said yes, but she wouldn't tell me what this is all about, Clint said the same thing.

A man walked up to us and asked are we here to meet with Ms. Rachele Smith, Clint and I looked at each other and I said I guess so, he took us to a private table and sis is sitting there dressed in fancy clothes, I guess she found her a rich man to roll.

We sat down and Clint asked her what's with this Ms. Smith stuff and where did she get all that fancy stuff she's wearing.

(Rachele)

My dear sweet naive brothers, I go by Smith because that's our father's mother's maiden name, I'm sure you two forgot that, and that's the name daddy uses, well did use, he's dead now and I inherited all of his money, daddy was rich and now so am I. So, I don't need a dime from any of you. Oh, and by the way before daddy died, he said he didn't want to know any of you being gay in all, and he said he'd never forgive you Clint for turning Jamie that way. I guess him leaving me all this money shows that payback really is a bitch.

(Clint)

First of all, Rachele dear, I didn't turn Jamie into anything, he's free to love whomever he wants, but tell me does that money make you happy, she said let's just say she won't ever face another eviction notice, and this money is hers and she didn't marry a rich man to get it.

(Jamie)

Rachele if you're referring to me, I didn't marry Manny for his money, and I'm doing very well, she said but Manny will always have more money than I will ever have, Rachele all you think about is money, but there's one thing I do have that you don't, and your money can't buy it and that's true love.

So, you enjoy what your father left you, and by the way he was dead to me a long time ago, enjoy your lunch, I told Clint I'll call him later and left.

(Rachele)

Jamie is just thinking with the wrong head, deep down he wanted some of daddy's money, so what if I don't have a man, I can rent one to fuck me and when I'm tired of him, I can get a new one, I'm a rich bitch.

Clint said he feels sorry for me, I told him don't be I have what I want and I didn't have to marry some man to get it, he said true but I pimped him out, and thought he was going to take care of me, and if he knows me I told daddy a bunch of lies about him and Jamie, but that's fine I finally got what I always wanted, and to add too it I'm out of their lives for good, he told me to enjoy my lunch and he left.

I called for the waiter and ordered the most expensive bottle of wine, fuck both of them, like I said I'm a rich bitch and I don't need them.

(Clint)

After I left the restaurant, I called Jamie to see if he's alright, he said he's fine, what about me, I told him Rachele is out of our lives, I didn't want it to be like this, I was kind of hoping she just wanted to be a family again. Jamie said he had a check for her, and he wanted her out of his life, all she did was ask for money or would say hateful things about me.

I told him I'll call him later; I'm headed home to tell Bash what this so-called lunch was about, I told him I love him, he said he loves me too and I hung up.

(Jamie)

I got home and told Manny what this meeting was about, he asked me how I feel about not having my sister in my life, CJ came into the room and jumped on my lap, he told me his Papi said I might be sad, so he came up to make sure I wasn't sad. I told him I could never be sad as long as I have him and his daddy, he said good now come outside and play with Bandit he makes me feel good too.

I told him and so does he, I asked Manny does that answer his question about how I feel, I have them, he said yes, and we won't talk about you know who ever again, we went outside and played with our son and his pup Bandit.

Whenever there around life is so much better, and I have Clint and Bash, and Manny's dads who have always made me feel like a part of their family, and I have little Tiffany too, and a family full of love. Something sis doesn't have; I feel sorry for her not to experience real love that money can't buy.

I said my father was dead to me, but deep down I always wanted him in my life, but I have another father now, in fact I have two of them, so I'm good. I just watched CJ running around with Bandit, and seeing Manny being a great father to CJ made me smile. I didn't get that from my father, but I can be a good dad to CJ and love him no matter what.
