I'm going to be rich somehow.

(Rachele)

I was cleaning out Clint and Jamie's old room, and I found some papers in a drawer; I thought Jamie took all of his college stuff when he left. Jamie always did have the perfect handwriting; I miss him, he moved in with Clint, and later he met Manny and became rich why can't I meet a rich man.

I read the words on the paper (For what it's worth.... it's never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever I want to be. There's no time limit, start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it, I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you, I hope you feel things you never felt before.

I hope you meet people who have a different point of view, I hope you live a life you're proud of, and if you're not. I hope you have the courage to start all over again. F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Jamie is always keeping shit like this, it never works for me, I even prayed last night for change and here I am still here and facing an eviction notice, I need a miracle right now.

My doorbell rang, I wasn't expecting anyone, I know it's not any of my so-called brothers, we haven't spoken in years, I walked to the door and looked through the peek hole and there's a man standing there with his back turned. I have five more days to get out of here, I just opened the door and asked the man can I help you; he turned around and I almost fainted, I asked him what he is doing here.

Rachele, I came here to see you and your brothers, he said, as I just stared at him, I asked him why the hell is he here now, where was he when we needed him, and I needed my father when my mother died. I told him I had to raise his son's something he should've been doing, I tried to find him everyone said he left town.

He asked could he come in he can explain everything, I told him I'll hear his lies and then he can leave, I stood to the side, and he walked in, I closed the door behind him, I walked into the living room and sat down, I told him so tell me why he's here.

(Barry, Rachele's father)

Rachele, I left Savannah years ago your mother knew that, and she knew where I was, I moved to California where I found a woman who loved me for me, she said that she can believe her mother was a hard woman. But that doesn't explain why I never called or sent a birthday card or anything, I told her I sent money, she said that would explain why her mother always had extra money, but never did much for them. Rachele said she had to get a job right after she graduated high school, her mother took her to the unemployment office while her friends went to parties and not to mention she spent her life taking care of Clint and Jamie, and now they're living their lives, and they have rich husbands.

I said wait both my sons are gay, she said yes, I told her that's my fault for not being here for them, but that's their life, I told her the reason I came here is because I've made a lot of money, and I came to share it with my family. My daughter looked at me and said why now, what's really going on that after all these years I came back to share my wealth with them, I told her there is a reason why I came back, I'm just going to say it. Rachel I'm dying, I was given six months that was five months ago. She just looked at me, I told her I was having my Will written and since she told me that her brothers are well off, I'll leave everything to her, and I don't want anything to do with her brothers. When I was around, I raised them to be men, I knew that Clint might disappoint me it was something about him, your mother always said he was different, and as for Jamie I can only think that Clint did this to him, and I'll never forgive him for that.

(Rachele)

I was thinking fuck my brothers this so-called father of mine said he's rich and going to leave me all of his money, I put on a good fake cry, I said I'm sorry daddy, he walked up to me and said it's okay he's here now, he can't make up for the past, but we can go on with now, and he wants to know all about me.

I told him there's nothing to know, I took care of the boys after mama died, and I just work there's no man in my life, he backed away, I told him I'm not like my brothers, I just haven't found a good man that's all. Daddy told me to get changed he'll take me out to lunch, I told him he's dressed very well, and I don't have anything to wear to a fancy restaurant, he said we'll go shopping and get me anything I want or need, I went into my room and got changed.

I hope he hurries up and puts me in his will and dies, I'll play along as if I'm that caring daughter, I came out of my room and daddy said he didn't mean to snoop, but he saw this eviction notice, how much am I behind.

I told him I'm six months behind, but I found an apartment, I'll be moving in a week, daddy said he'll give me a check to help with the move, I told him I'll pay him back, he said no this will be part of the money he'll leave me. He wrote out a check and gave it to me, I took it and it's for five thousand dollars, I looked at him, he said if it's not enough he can give me more, I told him it's more than enough.

We left and went shopping, daddy told me to get whatever I wanted, I did, he owes me this and more for me taking care of his gay ass sons, after that we went to the Top restaurant in the Alexander building. We got a table, daddy asked me does my brothers help me at all, I told him no, there too busy for someone like me, after all there rich.

Daddy said how selfish of them, and I took care of them, he took out his phone and made a call telling someone to name me as his heir, I get everything, he started coughing, and drank some water. I asked him what's wrong with him, he said lung cancer but don't be sad for him, I let a fake tear go down my face, he said he's lived his life and he's just glad he could see me before he dies.

We had lunch and just talked, after lunch daddy said he's staying at the Alexander hotel, he's kind of tired, I told him I can get home, he said he has my number he'll call me later, he got me a car and I went straight to the check cashing spot and got my money, that son of a bitch came through after all. I went and did more shopping, just wait until Jamie and Clint find out that I'm going to be rich, and I'm leaving this damn place. Maybe I'll move to L A I'm sure daddy has a big house.

Later that night I spoke with daddy, the next day I met with him, he asked me would I like to come to L A, I told him I'd like that, he told me only we would have to leave today, I told him I have to work tonight, he told me to give them my notice, as of now he's taking care of me the way a father should.

I didn't hesitate to call my job and tell them to go fuck themselves, I got packed and headed to L A in a private jet, now I just need daddy to die, and I'll come back to Savannah and rub it in my brothers faces that I inherited daddy's money, and they get nothing.

We landed in L A daddy had a car waiting for us, we went to his house, it was like the house that Jamie lives in, daddy told the housekeeper who I am, and to take care of me. She did just that, I even liked her, she's been with daddy since he got rich, I lived like a queen daddy took me places and introduced me to a lot of other rich people.

I spent a month with daddy, damn was the doctor wrong about him dying, the son of a bitch seemed fine to me, until the housekeeper came outside and said ma'am it's my father, he wants to see me. I ran into the house and daddy is in his bed, he looked at me and said he knows I'm just with him for the money, but I still get everything, his eyes closed, I checked him, and he's dead, I cried for him, and they weren't fake tears, I felt something, but a part of it is tears of joy I'm rich.

Now I'll have everything I deserve, and no man can ever make me feel like I'm nothing, I took beatings and was cheated on to make him feel better, no more, I will thank you daddy for changing my life for the better.

A few days later I buried my father, his Will was read, like daddy said I got everything, he sold his business and I got all of his money and this house, I'm worth over two hundred and eighty million dollars, again thank you daddy, I'll go back to Savannah just to tell my brothers how I got over. I was going through some of daddy's things, and I found a book, with the name F. Scott Fitzgerald, that's the name on the paper Jamie left behind.

I started thinking this is what F. Scott Fitzgerald was talking about, and now my life is going to change. And it did, I guess I can give the man upstairs credit for this, I'm a rich bitch now.
