8th Year

As the weekend approached, Lisa and Emily, Y/N's friends, excitedly proposed a girls' day out to Hogsmeade. Y/N, appreciating the idea of a break from the usual routine, readily agreed.

The trio strolled through the picturesque village of Hogsmeade, its cobblestone streets lined with charming shops and magical storefronts. Laughter filled the air as they explored Honeydukes, savoring the sweet aroma of chocolates and treats. Lisa couldn't resist grabbing a handful of Every Flavor Beans, and they shared amused glances as they sampled the unpredictable flavors.

Emily, with a mischievous grin, suggested a visit to Zonko's Joke Shop. The shop's eccentricities and playful atmosphere provided a delightful diversion, with the friends sharing laughter over various pranks and magical gags.

As they wandered through the village, Lisa pointed to the cozy entrance of the Three Broomsticks. "How about a butterbeer break?" she suggested.

The trio settled into a corner booth, clinking their mugs together in a toast. Y/N couldn't help but feel grateful for the camaraderie and the simplicity of the moment, away from the complexities of Hogwarts.

Lisa leaned in, a twinkle in her eye. "So spill the tea, Y/N. How's things with Draco? The entire school is buzzing about you two."

Y/N blushed, "It's good, surprisingly. Draco is... different than what people assume."

Emily grinned, "Well, that's what matters. As long as you're happy. Plus, I heard he's been quite the gentleman."

Y/N nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "He has his moments. And his friends are an interesting bunch too."

Y/N chuckled, taking a sip of her butterbeer. "You two are nosy, you know that?"

Lisa feigned innocence, "Us? Nosy? Never!"

Emily grinned, "We just care about our friend's happiness. And Draco Malfoy seems to be a big part of that happiness lately."

Y/N rolled her eyes playfully, "Well, you're not wrong. But seriously, it's not as dramatic as everyone makes it out to be. We're just figuring things out."

Lisa leaned in conspiratorially, "Spill the details! How did he ask you out? Was it all romantic and Slytherin-like?"

Y/N sighed, "It was surprisingly normal. Just a conversation that led to an understanding. No grand gestures, no dramatic confessions."

As Y/N, Lisa, and Emily finished their butterbeers, they decided to take a leisurely stroll through Hogsmeade, exploring the various markets and magical shops. The quaint atmosphere was enhanced by the festive decorations that adorned the village.

As they meandered past the Quidditch supplies store, Y/N's eyes widened when she spotted Draco browsing the shelves. A mischievous grin crossed her face as she turned to her friends.

"Mind if I make a little detour? I just spotted someone in there," Y/N said, gesturing subtly towards the store.

Lisa and Emily exchanged knowing looks and grinned. "Go on, we'll catch up," Lisa teased.

Y/N entered the store with a playful glint in her eye. Draco, engrossed in examining a sleek Nimbus broomstick, didn't notice her approach. She tiptoed closer and, with a sudden burst of energy, covered his eyes from behind.

"Guess who?" she said, suppressing a laugh.

Draco, slightly startled, turned around to see Y/N grinning at him. A smile broke across his face as he recognized her. "Well, if it isn't the surprise visitor. What brings you to the Quidditch corner?"

Y/N shrugged, "Just thought I'd see what's catching your eye. Finding anything interesting?"

Draco gestured towards the broomsticks. "Considering an upgrade, perhaps. What about you? Found anything tempting?"

She glanced at the broomsticks with a playful smirk. "I'm more of a spectator, not a player. But watching you pick one out is entertaining."

Draco raised an eyebrow, a curious glint in his eyes. "What brings you to Hogsmeade today? Planning some secret missions with your friends?"

Y/N chuckled, "Nothing that thrilling, I'm afraid. Lisa and Emily proposed a girls' day out, and we thought Hogsmeade would be the perfect escape from the castle."

Draco nodded, his lips curving into a smirk. "Girls' day out, huh? I hope you didn't come here to gossip about Slytherins."

Y/N playfully nudged him, "Of course not! We've been busy exploring the village, not plotting against your house."

Draco feigned offense, placing a hand over his heart. "I'm wounded. I thought we Slytherins were your favorite topic."

Y/N laughed, "You're my favorite Slytherin, that's for sure. But today is all about enjoying Hogsmeade and spending time with friends."

Draco's expression softened, "Fair enough. Mind if I join your little adventure? I could use a break from the broomstick aisle."

Y/N smiled, "Absolutely. Lisa and Emily are around; they'd be thrilled to have you join us."

Exiting the Quidditch store, Y/N and Draco ventured back into the lively streets of Hogsmeade to find Lisa and Emily. As they approached a charming tea shop, they spotted the two friends chatting animatedly at an outdoor table.

Lisa looked up and caught sight of Y/N and Draco. She waved enthusiastically, "There you are! We were wondering when you two lovebirds would join us."

Y/N blushed, shaking her head at Lisa's playful teasing. "We're not-"

Draco smoothly interrupted, "Oh, we're absolutely lovebirds. No denying that."

As the laughter and conversations flowed in the cozy tea shop, Lisa and Emily exchanged knowing glances. Lisa leaned in, her voice barely a whisper, "We should let these two have some alone time, don't you think?"

Emily nodded, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Absolutely. Besides, we've had our fair share of fun for today. Let's leave the lovebirds to their own devices."

With a subtle agreement, Lisa and Emily decided to make their exit. Lisa stood up, announcing, "Well, it's been a fantastic girls' day out. We should definitely do this again."

Y/N, catching onto their subtle cues, grinned, "Definitely. Thanks for an amazing day, guys."

Draco, playing along, added with a smirk, "Yes, thank you for letting me crash your girls' day. It was an enlightening experience."

Lisa winked, "Anytime, Draco. You're an honorary member now."

As Lisa and Emily made their way out, Y/N and Draco exchanged amused glances. The departure of their friends left a subtle shift in the air, creating a moment of quiet intimacy.

Draco leaned in, his tone teasing, "Now that it's just us, any specific plans for the rest of the day?"

Y/N smirked, "Well, I did hear there's a new tea shop here. Care to join me?"

Draco offered his arm with a gentlemanly flourish. "Lead the way, my dear. I'm at your service."
