8th Year

The morning sun bathed the Malfoy Manor in a soft glow as Draco and Y/N awoke to the gentle whispers of the winter breeze. As they exchanged tender smiles, a knock on the door interrupted their private moment.

Draco, slightly puzzled, got up to answer the door. To his surprise, standing in the hallway were his closest friends: Lorenzo, Theodore, Mattheo, Blaise, and Pansy. They wore knowing grins that immediately sparked Draco's curiosity.

"Morning, Draco!" Lorenzo greeted, a twinkle in his eye.

Theodore added with a smirk, "Sleep well, did we?"

Blaise chimed in, "You didn't tell us you were bringing company to the Manor, Draco. A very lovely company, I might add."

Draco, taken aback, exchanged a glance with Y/N, who looked equally surprised. "How did you all know Y/N was here?"

Pansy, with a knowing smile, said, "Draco, darling, you forget that we're your best friends. We know everything, including when you decide to make things official with someone special."

Mattheo chuckled. "And we've been waiting for you to spill the beans, mate."

It dawned on Draco that his friends were well aware of his growing connection with Y/N, even before he had formally announced it to them. He glanced at Y/N, a mix of surprise and amusement in his expression.

Y/N, smiling, joined the banter. "Looks like your friends are more perceptive than you thought, Draco."

Blaise nudged Draco playfully. "So, when were you planning on telling us, mate? We've been keeping this secret for you."

Draco, recovering from his initial shock, chuckled. "I didn't realize I had such a secretive fan club. Well, consider the secret officially out. Y/N and I are... together."

His friends erupted into cheers, clapping Draco on the back and offering their congratulations.

As the cheers and laughter subsided, the group decided to gather for breakfast in the grand dining room of the Malfoy Manor. The long table, adorned with a sumptuous spread of wizarding delicacies, became a place of lively conversation and shared stories.

Amidst the merriment, Pansy raised an eyebrow playfully. "So, Y/N, how did you manage to capture the heart of our dear Draco? Spill the details."

Y/N, smiling, responded, "Well, it turns out Draco has a softer side he doesn't show to everyone. We just clicked, you know?"

Lorenzo, with a grin, teased Draco, "Soft side, Malfoy? Who would have thought?"

Draco rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a fond smile. "Alright, alright. Maybe there's more to me than meets the eye."

Theodore raised his glass in a mock toast. "To Draco and Y/N—may your days be filled with love and your secrets fewer from now on."

The group shared a collective laugh, the atmosphere filled with the warmth of friendship and camaraderie. The Malfoy Manor, known for its formalities and history, now echoed with the easy banter and shared moments of a close-knit group.

As breakfast continued, Draco and Y/N found themselves immersed in the company of friends who not only accepted but celebrated their connection. The Malfoy Manor, with its grandeur and elegance, became a backdrop for the unfolding chapters of their story—a story that promised love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of friendship.

And so, in the heart of the grand dining room, Draco, Y/N, and their friends embraced the morning, creating memories that would linger in the halls of the Malfoy Manor long after the winter sun had risen high in the sky.

Pansy, her eyes sparkling with mischief, suggested, "How about we do something called Secret Santa? It's a muggle thing. You draw names and then anonymously give a gift to the person you pick."

Draco and Y/N exchanged curious glances, intrigued by the idea. "Secret Santa?" Draco repeated. "Where did you hear about that, Pansy?"

Pansy, looking a bit shy, grinned mischievously. "Oh, you know, someone just mentioned it to me. It sounded like a fun way to exchange gifts, so why not give it a try?"

The group chuckled at Pansy's mysterious response, and Blaise teased, "Pansy, you've got a secret source of muggle information, don't you? Spill the beans!"

Pansy feigned innocence. "A witch has her ways of acquiring knowledge, my dear Blaise. Let's just say I have my connections."

The idea of Secret Santa was met with unanimous approval, and the friends decided to draw names later in the day. The prospect of surprising each other with thoughtful, anonymous gifts added an extra layer of excitement to the holiday gathering.

The grand dining room of the Malfoy Manor was adorned with festive decorations as Draco, Y/N, and their friends gathered to draw names for the Secret Santa exchange. Pansy had prepared a jar filled with folded pieces of parchment, each containing the name of a participant, including Draco, Y/N, and even Narcissa.

Excitement filled the air as each person took turns drawing a name. Y/N, with an air of anticipation, picked a piece of parchment from the jar. Unfolding it discreetly, she couldn't help but smile as she saw the name written on it—Draco.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, Draco was engaged in a hushed conversation with Mattheo. The atmosphere was tense as Draco tried to negotiate a trade of names.

Draco, leaning in conspiratorially, whispered, "Come on, Mattheo, you know how much this means to me. I need to be the one to get Y/N something special."

Mattheo, with a sly grin, countered, "Draco, my friend, I can't just give up my Secret Santa pick. It's the thrill of the unknown. Plus, who knows? Maybe I've got something spectacular planned for Y/N."

Draco, not easily deterred, continued to plead his case. "Mattheo, please. You owe me one, remember that time at the Quidditch match?"

Mattheo chuckled. "Fine, I owe you one, but this isn't about Quidditch. It's about maintaining the integrity of the Secret Santa tradition."

As the negotiation reached a standstill, Y/N observed the exchange from the corner of the room, bemused by Draco's determination. She approached, curious to see what was transpiring.

"Everything okay, Draco?" Y/N asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

Draco, with a forced smile, replied, "Just a little friendly banter, nothing to worry about."

Mattheo, catching Y/N's eye, added, "Draco here is trying to get his way, but I won't let him. Secret Santa rules, you know?"

Y/N raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Oh, Draco, trying to bend the rules, are we?"

Draco sighed dramatically. "I just don't like the one that I got, that's all."

Y/N chuckled. "Well, let's keep the mystery alive."

Despite the playful banter, the group decided to stick to the original names they had drawn. The prospect of a Secret Santa surprise added an extra layer of excitement to the festive gathering, ensuring that each gift would be a true reflection of thoughtfulness and magic.
