Hello everyone! Guess who's back!

I actually was not sure if I was going to finish this story, but it looks like I am. I just did a lot of outlining for the rest of this story, so hopefully it won't take me so long to to update haha. Sorry it's been so long. 7 months goes by so fast. I hope you enjoy the chapter!

Izuku and Mori became fast friends. Mori was extremely upbeat and loved to talk about all things related to heroes, which Izuku was beyond thrilled about.

They loved to nerd out about their favorite heroes and argue about whose favorite hero was the superior. 'Of course Hawks is so much cooler than All Might, like really, he has wings! And feathers that detach that can be controlled at will.'

While Mori would say, 'But Hawks can't punch so hard that it literally changes the weather!'

Poor Hitoshi had to suffer through listening to them ramble on and on for hours. The things he did for his friend.

Hours of nerding out about heroes turned into hanging out at the nearby cat café almost every day after school, to which Izuku would drag a reluctant Hitoshi along.

Thankfully, there was at least one thing they all had in common. Their love for cats.

"Don't you just love their tiny little paws and adorable eyes!" Mori gushed, while cuddling a small calico cat with beautiful green eyes.

"And don't forget their cute little ears!" Izuku added.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes as he watched his friend talk about how cute cats were with Mori.

"Hey, Toshi?" Izuku snapped his fingers in front of Hitoshi's face, attempting to catch his attention.

Hitosbi jerked back, he didn't realize he had spaced out for a second there. "Yeah, Izu?"

"Sorry, you weren't answering me." Izuku apologized sheepishly. "I was just wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner tonight at my place? Mori is coming along too."

Hitoshi had to force a frown from showing on his face. Of course she was going. "Um, you know what, I actually have a family thing tonight. It's my mom's birthday and my parents really want me home this evening."

"Oh, yeah! I forgot that it was your mom's birthday today." Izuku laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Another time, then?"

Hitoshi smiled. "Of course, Izuku."

"Hey guys, sorry for interrupting, I have to use the restroom." Mori said and she gently placed the calico cat into Izuku's waiting arms.

After Mori left, Izuku nervously tugged on Hitoshi's sleeve.

Hitoshi nodded, encouraging Izuku to speak.

"Are you...are you upset with me, Hito?" Izuku asked softly. "I know Mori and I have been hanging out a lot lately, and we haven't had much time to ourselves."

Hitoshi sighed, and gave Izuku a reassuring smile. "It's okay Izuku. I understand, really. You finally have another friend besides just me, and that's amazing! Really, it is. I just don't know how I feel about her yet."

"I get it." Izuku grinned. "You don't need to be worried though! Keigo, Touya and dad worry about me enough. You don't need to worry too. I can take care of myself!"

Hitoshi chuckled. "I know, Izu. I know. I can't help it though. You know? You're like my little brother. I just want you to be safe."

Izuku carefully set the calico cat down and reached over to give Hitoshi a hug. "Thanks, Toshi! You're the best! Really!"

"I know."

Later that night after dinner ended at the Aizawa household and Mori had gone home, Touya and Keigo sat down with Izuku.

"So, Izu. Want to tell us anything?" Touya smirked.

Izuku's face reddened at the implications of his words. "No! No guys! No! It's not like that at all! Mori is a friend! Like a sister, really! I can't believe you two."

"Hey." Keigo and Touya held their hands up in mock innocence. "We didn't say anything."

"I know what you meant!" Izuku whined.

"What, that something might be going on between you and that pretty girl, Mori, huh?" Keigo grinned.

"NO! Seriously! You guys are awful. Dad!" Izuku cried.

"Boys, please don't tease Izuku. He's going through a very confusing stage in his life." Shouta said in a dead serious tone. "Izuku do you need to tell me anything?"

"Oh my goodness, guys! You all are the worst! No! Nothing!" Izuku dragged his hands down his face in exasperation. "I'm going to bed. Goodnight."

"Goodnight baby bro!" Touya gave Izuku and big hug and handed him to Keigo.

"Night baby bird! Love you the most!" Keigo kissed Izuku's head of curls. Izuku squirmed out of his grasp and tried to race to his room but was caught by his dad.

"Izuku, I love you. Goodnight." Shouta gave his son a gentle hug and a small kiss on the forehead. "Don't forget to finish your homework."

Izuku laughed. "Of course Dad! I would never." he gave him a hug."I love you too. Even though you tease me relentlessly."

"That's what dads do." Shouta ruffled his curls. "At least, that's what I hear."

That night Hitoshi lay awake in bed. He just couldn't sleep. He couldn't stop thinking about Mori. And no, not in a weird way. He would NEVER think of her that way.

Something about her just didn't sit right with him.

He just needed to find out what.
