Hey guys! Sorry it's been such a long time. I've been really busy with school and haven't had the chance to work on this. I do not plan on giving up on this story, I will just be updating VERY slowly. haha. Hopefully I won't take so long to update next though. - cinnamon_roll

Izuku and Mori chatted as they walked to class.
Hitoshi did not like this development at all. He scowled as he watched Mori laugh at something Izuku said.
She glanced back at him for a second, her face showing no emotion for a moment before she grinned at him. "So Shinsou, why did you apply for UA?"
"None of your business." Hitoshi replied with a frown.
"Toshi!" Izuku scolded. "Please don't be rude! She's trying to be nice."
Hitoshi rolled his eyes. The things he did for his friend. "Fine. I applied because Izuku applied. Happy?"
Izuku sighed and rolled his eyes. "Sorry about Hitoshi, Mori. He really is a nice guy once you get to know him.
Mori giggled. "It's okay, I think it's cute the way you two banter."
Hitoshi huffed in annoyance, then sighed in relief once the large doors of Class 1-A came into view. He listened as Izuku continued to talk enthusiastically with his newfound friend. Mori seemed equally as enthralled in their conversation. Hitoshi rolled his eyes as he opened the door, not bothering to hold it open for the two chattering behind him.
"Hitoshi!" Izuku whined as he appeared behind him. "You let the door close on me!"
"Oh, I did didn't I?" Hitoshi asked in mock horror as he sat down in his seat. "I'm so sorry."
"Are you mad at me?" Izuku asked in a hushed tone, sitting down in the seat next to him. His emerald eyes started to water.
Hitoshi was now feeling pretty terrible for having a bad attitude. He should be happy Izuku was making other friends, despite how it made him jealous. "No, Izuku. I'm not. I'm sorry for being a jerk this morning. It has nothing to do with you."
Izuku's face immediately brightened. "Oh good! If I ever do something to upset you, please tell me. You're my best friend, Hitoshi, and I don't want anything to come between that."
Hitoshi smiled softly at his friend. He really didn't deserve him. Before he could respond, a very familiar voice interrupted.
"I have been standing here for eight seconds. If you are here to just make friends, I suggest you leave."
Hitoshi smothered a laugh with a cough. That was Aizawa all right.
"I am your homeroom teacher. You may address me as Aizawa-sensei. Now, I want you all to put on these uniforms and meet me out in the field in ten minutes. Anyone who is late will be expelled." And with that said, Aizawa left the room.
"I always forget how intimidating he can be." Izuku whispered to Hitoshi as they left the room with their uniforms. "He's so different at home."
Hitoshi hummed in agreement.

Ten minutes had passed and thankfully everyone was on time.
"I'm glad you all can at least follow simple instructions." Aizawa said in a gruff tone. "Now, you are all going to participate in several tests to determine where you are in controlling and using your quirks. You will all be scored and whoever gets last place will be expelled."
At that comment, everyone started to freak out.
"What? Expelled?!" One girl shouted in horror.
"Dang, man, that's harsh!" A yellow-haired teen whined.
"So unmanly."
"That's not fair!"
Hitoshi laughed under his breath as everyone continued to shout complaint after complaint until Aizawa yelled at them to be quiet. Hitoshi knew it was just a logical ruse. It was just like Aizawa to pull something like this.
"Do you really think the real world is going to be fair?" Aizawa asked them all. "If so, you are all in for a rude awakening. Do you think villains are going to fight fair? No, they will kill you the moment you make a mistake and leave yourself vulnerable. They won't care. This is a hard lesson to learn, yes, but it is one that should you take it to heart, will aid you in the future." He took a breath after his speech and stared at them all with stone cold eyes.
Everyone hushed, and remained silent. And so, the tests finally began.
The tests went by quickly and everyone seemed to be doing pretty well. Unfortunately, due to Hitoshi's mental quirk, he was not doing nearly as well as everyone else. Despite being upset by this, he knew Aizawa would not count it against him.
Of course, Izuku was doing amazing. His strong, large, eye-catching wings drew everyone's attention every time he used them. Hitoshi was so happy for his friend, watching as he dominated most of the tests landing him in second place, Todoroki being the only one to beat his score.
Even though Hitoshi sometimes grew a little jealous of Izuku's quirk and friendly personality that so many people adored, he would quickly shake off the feeling. Remembering Izuku's life as a child and the memories that still haunted him always made him realize that even people like Izuku who seemed to perfect didn't always have perfect lives. He was beyond happy that his friend was doing so great and had such a loving family now. He deserved it.
"Izuku!" Hitoshi ran up to his friend to give him a hug, as the tests were now complete.
"Hitoshi!" Izuku turned around with a smile and hugged Hitoshi. "Where did you place?"
"sixteenth place. Not the worst, so I'm okay with it." Hitoshi shrugged.
"That's amazing, Toshi! I'm so proud of you!"
Hitoshi smiled, happiness bubbling inside at hearing his friend's praise.
A cry cut into their conversation. They both looked to the direction where it came from and saw it was a short boy with purple balls for hair that was crying in distress at his score, which was last place.
"P-please don't expel me, Sensei!" The boy cried, big fat tears running down his face.
Aizawa rolled his eyes. "It was just a logical ruse, Mineta. You are not expelled. Although, I do expect you to work harder."
Mineta nodded his head, still sniffling.
Hitoshi laughed softly under his breath at the scene, earning a jab in the ribs from Izuku.
"Don't laugh at other people's pain, Hitoshi! It's not nice!"
"Oh no, I really wouldn't want to do that. I'm sorry, I won't do that again."
"Stop being so sarcastic all the time!" Izuku huffed, but smiled a little.
"Oh come on," Hitoshi grinned. "don't tell me you didn't find it a little funny too."
Izuku just huffed and walked away.
Hitoshi shook his head with a grin as he ran after his friend. "You totally did!"
"Did not!"
"Did to!"
"Oh shut up, Toshi."
