Kotlc~ After Stellarlune

~Chapter 1~

Hey guys! Welcome to my fanfic! When I'm putting italics and bold words together, it means this is an "author's note". The first part is the last sentence of Stellarlune. I hope you guys enjoy! :p

"I am Elysian".

"But.. but.. Elysian is a place.. it can't be.. a person?" Sophie said, unable to find the right words

Elysian laughed "I am the power source that all of you have been looking for, and-"

Gisela lunged for Elysian "Power source that I am going to take."

Marella shot some flames at Gisela, and Maruca had put a forcefield around herself, Sophie, Fitz, Marella, Keefe, and Elysian.

"Good old Mommy dearest" Keefe said as he gave everyone a sheepish, fake smile.

The smile, was obviously fake. Keefe had grown up with terrible parents, his father wanting him to "be the glory that is Him [Lord Cassius, Keefe's father]" and his mother, Lady Gisela, always lying, and using her manipulative tactics control both Keefe and Cassius. All the while, neither Keefe or Cassius realized that Lady Gisela had evil intentions, and was one of the main leaders of the Neverseen, and that they were just a tiny, but vital part of her experiment.

Keefe looked down and fidgeted with his hands, noticing the pitiful look Sophie gave him.

"So, I'm at a loss for understanding. How are you a power source?" Marella asked him inquiry twisting her features.

Elysian started, but Sophie was too quick, and faced everyone as she said this. "Yeah, I guess I should've explained a bit more before we came. Long story short, Kenric mentioned Elysian's name in a memory we looked through, but refused to elaborate on the subject. All we really know is that she," pointing towards Elysian, "is the power source that can turn abilities on and off." Sophie finished

Fitz ran a hand through his perfectly neat, styled, dark brown hair. "You could have at least told us that this is where we were going Sophie, that too with Vespera." Fitz seemed mad. Sophie and Keefe knew that he was not too happy about them together, as Fitz still liked Sophie, so he would do anything to turn down or blame one of them; especially poor Keefe. His regularly perfect teal eyes had bags under them, as if he was silently crying.

"Hey, I appreciate that you guys want to help me and stuff, but do you really think we can trust this Elysian lady? Cause I don't. Who knows what's under that cloak..." Keefe transmitted.

"Suspicious or not, we have to get to that power source. She's the only hope of saving you, Keefe and other elves suffering your case." Sophie answered

Elysian laughed. "You think, that I don't know you guys are having a secret telepathic conversation? I know your exact intentions, but I will not allow you to control me for your own selfish reasons. At least not until you are able to prove your worth. I have been watching you, Moonlark. And your intentions are gallant and heroic. But I'm not sure about some of your little friends.." And with that, she disappeared.

Maruca sighed. "Great. Another vanisher. Just what we needed."

"Is she able to get through your forcefield?" Fitz asked

"Well, a really good psionipath would be able to block a vanisher, and see them, but since I just manifested, that couldn't work for me."

Sophie groaned. Suddenly, she remembered Lady Gisela is still here. When she glanced around, Gisela was gone. Terrific. Not only did Elysian leave them stranded, but Gisela must have found out a way to find Elysian. Another plan, failed. The Neverseen were always 3 steps ahead of them.

They all just looked around and stared in silence where Vespera lay, as if they almost felt sad for her. She did bring them to Elysian after all, and with good intentions, only to risk her own life.

"Well," Marella started "I guess it's time to go back then. Mission failed."

Everyone nodded their head in agreement and said their goodbyes. They planned to meet up at Havenfield with the others and tell them about their failed mission.

~ Later, when Sophie and Keefe arrive to Havenfield~

They walked back in silence, knowing that Grady and Sandor wouldn't be too happy that she and Keefe ran with Vespera and try to annihalate the Neverseen's plan..
