*Spencer's P.O.V*
"I have to go back to where I found her body." I said shakily.
Everyone stayed silent, you could hear a pin drop.
"I'll go with you." Emma's voice cut the silence like a blade. "I want to find out the monster who did this and I'll do whatever it takes." I smiled thankfully at her.
"But, you guys the police will be looking into it, they'll figure it out." Ryan tried to dissuade us.
"Knowing the police, if they don't figure it out in the first couple of weeks they'll just give up. Maybe they'll figure it out years later but I can't wait that long. Eliza was a great person and didn't deserve this, I'm going to find the person responsible and make sure they get what they deserve." I spoke strongly, my voice not even wavering slightly. Even though it had only been a couple of days of course I was still upset but I was also extremely angry at the thought of anyone murdering my friend.
"We're going now." Emma announced and together marched out of the room, determined and strong.

Emma and I went back to our dorm room to grab all the stuff we needed. Thankfully we had no classes today so we had the full day to do what we needed. I grabbed my small backpack shoving my phone, wallet and keys into the front pocket and 2 pairs of gloves and my camera into the main pocket. Quickly tying my hair into a pony tail, we began the journey into the woods behind campus where Finn and I had gone on our date.
It was such a nice day, I had an amazing time and I hated the fact that it ended so badly. It suddenly occurred to me that I'd never asked how he was, he discovered the body too, we were both there. I felt really bad but made a mental note to check up on him and see if he wanted to go on another date sometime. I actually really liked Finn, it's a feeling I hadn't had in a very long time and I'll admit I really liked it.
"Where exactly was it do you remember?" Emma interrupted my thoughts.
"If we go through to the clearing where the lake is, I think I'll be able to figure out the way back from there." I told her and we quickly walked to the lake.
I smiled, remembering how Finn had the picnic blanket and food and we watched the sunset together. I sighed fondly before quickly turning on my heel. "Ok come back this way." I walked in front of Emma, keeping an eye out for the spot. In the distance, through the trees I saw yellow tape and knew we had found it. "It's over here," I gulped. Taking a deep breath, we continued forward in the direction of the tape until we reached it. Luckily there was no one there, no police or reporters or forensic experts so we were free to explore the area.
"Emma put these on." I handed her one of the pairs of gloves and put the other one on myself. "I'll start on this side, you go over there. Tell me if you see anything. She nodded and began looking for any signs of who murdered Eliza.
I pulled out my camera and took pictures of all the footprints I saw, I was pretty sure most of them were either police or reporters or mine since I was the first one here. I had just about finished looking around my side when Emma called me over.
"What do you think these are?" she pointed at tracks in the dirt. I followed them with my eyes and they appeared to continue for quite a while as far as I could see.
"I'm guessing she wasn't murdered right here." Emma shuddered and kept constantly checking over her shoulders.. "Maybe someone killed her and dragged her here and left her." I trailed off, horrified by my own theory but Emma seemed to agree with me.
"Should we follow them?" she questioned.
"Yeah, I think so."
We set off, carefully following the tracks without covering them or interfering with them but were also careful that our prints weren't too heavy either. We kept walking for a couple of minutes when Emma tapped my shoulder. Looking up from where the tracks suddenly appear to stop I saw something massive about 100 metres ahead of us and recognised it immediately.
