Twenty years ago, the world changed forever. Many people lost something or someone special to them. But some lost even more in those twenty years.

Y/N Miller lost just about everyone.

At the beginning of the outbreak, Y/N lost his sister to a soldier that just followed the orders he was given.

A few years into the outbreak, Y/N had to witness his father and uncle arguing for the millionth time before Tommy had enough and left to join a group known as the Fireflies.

Y/N and his father also had some back and forth regarding the lives they now had to live.

There were no more sweet father-son interactions anymore. Rather, the two would interact like strangers who just happened to stay together to survive.

Furthermore, it appeared that Joel had already found a replacement to be happy with; Theresa Servopoulos, or as most people would just call her, Tess.

Joel would spend more time with her than with Y/N. So Y/N would do one of two things; either sit in his room the entire day, or walk around the QZ with his dog, Daisy.

Today was one of those days

Today was one of those days. Y/N walked around the streets with Daisy on a leash.

The two walked into a nearby building before they joined a long line inside the building.

Y/N grabbed a picture from his back pocket before looking at it.

That was Alicia Clark

That was Alicia Clark. She was still alive after all this time, just like he was. Her mom too.

That's why Y/N was here. The man at the end of the line had a working radio. But he also smuggled some small stuff from time to time, like the picture Y/N was currently holding.

After waiting in the line for half an hour, Y/N stepped into the room befire Daisy let out a bark and ran to the man behind the desk.

"Ooh. Daisy. My, my, you have grown." the man smiled as he scratched behind Daisy's ears.
