I woke up with a massive headache, due to last night. I don't know if it was the ocean or the loudness of everybody, but I had to go get some medicine, so I went to the nearby convenience store.

This looks good enough, I say to myself, grabbing some medication from the shelf. As I was about to walk up to the counter, I noticed that Jade had been observing from a distance, her eyes full of resentment that had simmered since the party.

That had changed all of a sudden, and Jade stepped forward with a confident look. There was a flash of resolve in her eyes, and her words cut through my thoughts like a knife.

"Y/N, we need to talk, now." Jade declared, her voice carrying an edge that hinted at an angry storm she'd been holding inside.

I turned to Jade, my expression had both curiosity and fear. "Sure, Jade. What's on your mind?"

Jade's expression changed to some sort of a well-planned confrontation. Her words were a mixture of bitterness and accusations, each one intended to end my recently formed relationships.

"You thought you could just waltz into our lives, disrupt everything, and act like you belong? You've been playing the victim for too long, and it's time you face the consequences," Jade argued, her eyes filled with anger.

A tornado of feelings like betrayal, jealousy, and a desire for revenge, swirled around her words. Jade exposed that those rumors that had been going around and the doubts that had crept into the thoughts of people around me were caused by her.

As Jade's words sank in, a group of friends—some hesitant, some curious—gathered in the background, their expressions held many emotions. As I noticed this, tears started forming in my eyes. I didn't know what to say.

Feeling a mix of shock, hurt, and confusion, I stood there, my mind racing to process the sudden turn of events. The weight of Jade's accusations hung in the air, making everyone around us whisper and glance.

As Jade's words continued to threaten me, a comforting hand gently rested on my shoulder. Startled, I turned to find Joshua, who looked like an angel who'd come to save me.

He couldn't ignore Jade quite literally bullying me, and with a raised eyebrow, he addressed Jade with a smirk.

"Well, well, Jade, stirring up drama again? You know, we do have better things to do than entertain baseless rumors," Joshua remarked, his tone carrying a hint of sarcasm. The people behind started to laugh, and Jade had a shocked expression on her face.

"Are we auditioning for a soap opera or is this your attempt at stand-up comedy?" Joshua said with that same sarcastic tone. The audience burst out into full laughter at this point, and Jade was taken aback by Joshua's unexpected sense of humor and stumbled in her steps.

Joshua had this playful gleam in his eyes and went on. "Look, Y/N, I don't think they're handing out awards for Best Drama at the convenience store. Let's ditch this audition and treat ourselves to something more entertaining. Ice cream, perhaps?" he suggested with his words lightening the mood.

"Yeah, lets go," I looked at Jade as me and Joshua exited the store, and she had such rage on her face, it was kind of funny.

Me and Joshua sat down at some ice cream parlor to try and forget about what happened, and I decided to thank him.

"Thanks for the save back there," I said to Joshua, offering a genuine smile.

He chuckled softly, "Well, dealing with drama is not my favorite hobby, but if I get to rescue a damsel in distress, it's not so bad."
