The night was filled with laughter and joy as me, Jeonghan, and the rest of the group gathered for a game night. The living room was piled up with blankets and pillows, creating a cozy spot that showed the warmth of our friendship.
We all sat in a circle, and they decided to play a friendly board game, each person trying to get the prize— a ridiculously oversized plush unicorn that was too cute to die for. The stakes were high, and the competitive spirit was definitely there.
As the game progressed, Jeonghan's mischievous side emerged. He skillfully slipped a card from his sleeve and maneuvered his pieces across the board with a smile on his face that most of us knew was for his tricks. His moves were so secret that even the most aware members of the group failed to catch on.
I, however, couldn't help but notice the twinkle in Jeonghan's eyes each time he made a strategic play. I raised an eyebrow, suspecting foul play but deciding to play along. The game continued, and Jeonghan's lead grew, much to the frustration of the others.
"Jeonghan, are you sure you're not cheating?" Mingyu asked, eyeing him suspiciously.
Jeonghan flashed a charming smile. "Me? Cheat? Never. I'm just naturally gifted in board game strategy."
The game continued, and the group burst into laughter with every mischevious move Jeonghan made.
As the game was nearing its end, Jeonghan found himself on the edge of victory. The oversized plush unicorn stood in the background, waiting for its rightful owner. With a triumphant grin, Jeonghan made his final move, securing his win.
He stood up, the plush unicorn in hand, and gracefully approached me. The room fell silent as he presented the ridiculous prize with a big smile. "Congratulations, Y/N, on being the most fun opponent. This unicorn is now yours."
I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. "I knew you were cheating, Jeonghan! But I'll graciously accept this majestic unicorn."
Jeonghan winked, his playful tone changing to a more sincere one. "Y/N, to be honest, winning this game is nothing compared to having you as a friend."
The room collectively sighed at the cringe but sweet moment. I couldn't help but blush as Jeonghan continued, "I may have cheated in the game, but when it comes to you, everything is genuine. I value our friendship, and I... I might just like you a little more than I should."
Everybody, including me, gasped. Jeonghan? In love? That was something none of us had seen coming.
The group started teasing us, mostly me, as I processed his confession. Jeonghan, despite his mischievous ways, had a genuine expression of affection. I smiled, realizing that beneath the playfulness, there was a heart that truly cared.
Although the teasing was annoying and awkward, the mood in the room quickly settled as everyone realized the deeper meanings of Jeonghan's confession. Since Jeonghan had admitted his feelings for me, I suddenly felt a warmth radiating throughout my body. Instead of continuing to tease, the group remained silent, giving us both some time to process this important moment.
My cheeks turned red, and I felt a mixture of happiness and excitement at the idea of being with Jeonghan. As the group waited for my response, I looked over at Jeonghan and smiled.
I finally spoke. I told Jeonghan that I feel the same way as he did, and his expression immediately lit up. Our eyes locked and we smiled at each other, feeling the awkwardness melting away as we both felt the same way. The tension in the air gave way to a warm feeling of tenderness and joy, and the other members of the group cheered us both on.
----
As the last bits of teasing and joking stopped, Jeonghan stepped towards you and you stepped towards him. The two of you shared an intense look of love and fondness, the feelings of shyness melting away. You both wanted this moment, and you couldn't help but feel the rush of emotions that accompanied this intimate moment. Jeonghan leaned in slowly, taking your breath away, and then your lips locked together in a passionate and intense kiss.
