As I woke up, I saw the morning light through the curtains in the guest room where I had spent the night.  A quick check of my phone revealed no new messages from Sakura, leaving me wondering about the urgency of her situation. However, a message from my brother read: are you doing okay? How's the university life over here? My brother always cares for me, and I have yet to see him. I'll have to reach out sometime but now is probably not the best time.

Suddenly I hear a lot of yelling and commotion going on downstairs, so I decide to go check it out.

I headed downstairs, where the living room had chaos all throughout. The members were scattered around, some engaged in conversations, and others were doing some individual activities. Minghao was practicing basketball in a corner, while Seungcheol and Jeonghan were having a heated discussion about the best way to brew coffee. Hoshi and Vernon were both yelling about who stole whose donut, and Jun was admiring himself in the mirror.

Woozi noticed me and flashed a warm smile. "Morning, Y/N. Sleep okay?"

I nodded, feeling a bit awkward in the unfamiliar surroundings. "Yeah, thanks. Any updates on... you know, the situation?"

Seungkwan, who overheard, chimed in. "We've been strategizing and Mingyu wanted to talk to you, we're tryna figure out the best way to handle Jade. We're not letting her ruin the peace around here!"

The mention of Mingyu brought a change in the atmosphere. He approached with a determined look, guilt in his eyes. "Y/N, I'm really sorry about all this. I never expected things to escalate like this. I should've warned you earlier."

I appreciated his sincerity and offered a small smile. "It's okay, Mingyu. Let's focus on how we can deal with it now."

The group gathered for a brief meeting, discussing strategies and potential actions to deal with Jade's threats. Woozi had an unexpected strategic mind and made up a plan that involved the group coming together to defend me from any of Jade's further harassment.

DK, a mood lifter, suggested a break with a playful smirk. "Alright, enough serious faces. Let's take a break and raid the kitchen. Who's in?"

As the members agreed, the kitchen became chaos. Joshua and Vernon teamed up to experiment with a new recipe, while Dino and Seungkwan engaged in a friendly cooking competition, each trying to outdo the other. Hoshi, not to be outdone, decided to show off his dance moves in the middle of the kitchen, drawing laughter from everyone. The mood lightened, and for a moment, it felt like the weight of the situation had lifted.

As the day unfolded, members shared their thoughts on the situation. Wonwoo who was usually quiet and shy, expressed his concern in a heartfelt conversation. "Y/N, I know things are tough right now, but we're genuinely here for you. We may not have known each other for long, but this group is like a family. And family looks out for each other, and since you're close with some of the members now, you're welcome to our family anytime."

DK added, "Exactly! We're like a quirky bunch of siblings. No matter what happens, we've got each other's backs. And yours too now, Y/N!"

The supportive words stuck with me, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging among this group of friends. Minghao, who had been silently observing, approached with a genuine smile. "We may have started as a random collection of dudes, but facing these challenges together creates bonds that are hard to break."

Mingyu even took it upon himself to teach me some basic self-defense moves. It was a surprising gesture, considering his role in the unfolding drama. "I want to make sure you feel safe," he explained with determination in his eyes.
