"—I was just thinking how fun it would be that the crafty lord of crime turns out to be you!" William slightly gasped and his eyes slightly widened which went unnoticeable and then he smirked. He put on his best sinister smile as he propped a hand over the chair, mimicking the detective before him posture.

"Catch me if you can, Mr Holmes" William smirked as he watched Sherlock Holmes slightly blushed and grinned widely. William smiled proudly in his mind as he saw how he made his detective feel.

Ah. That name. Sherlock Holmes. Just thinking about the single 'S' initial hurts William. Sherlock Holmes. There's no day that goes by without him thinking about that man. Every single day for 23 years straight and not once had they crossed paths.

"Is that the sort of response you expect from me... Mr detective?~" William purred as he fixed his posture, making Sherlock laughed out loud and earning a judgmental look from Louis.

"—-Professor Moriarty?" He got brought back to reality by the sound of his student voice. William blinked quickly, trying to remember where he was before looking up at his student, smiling.

"Yes, is there something wrong Fred?" Fred.. William smiled as remember a certain stoic flower obsessed man that has the same name as his student from his past.

"I've been trying to tell you about... are you alright?" Fred asked in concerned upon seeing his math professor out of his head again. "Yes.. I'm quite alright, sorry Please tell me again?"

Fred looked reluctant before sighing. "I was saying that I sent an email to you about a job application that I wanted to apply for. It is a really good job and it is also my dream job and I really need someone to go over my application and curriculum vitae, but I certainly understand if you can't help me out and I can ask other professors for help but please can you consider it?"

Fred took a deep breath as he looked at his math professor with pleading eyes. William was very happy that his students thought so highly of him. "Alright, I will take a look at it tonight so... you don't have my classes until next Friday so come by my office at 2 pm tomorrow, I hope you won't mind coming to school on a day off" William quickly wrote Fred a note as he signed it before handing it to him.

To get into a teacher's office, you need to have a note with the teacher's signature first. Fred smiled brightly as he took the note. "Thank you so much professor!" William smiled at him as he looked at the clock.

3:45 PM. It read. The class should be over in 25 minutes. William sighed as he took out his computer and started turning it on.

Since it was the last day of university for this week and they all had done their works, William agreed on letting them go 30 minutes early.

William could heard whispers from his students involving his name. William shrugged it off as he typed in his password for his computer.

"Should we ask Professor Moriarty to join the science fair with us?" "James, Are you crazy! Wouldn't it be weird to ask a professor to come with us students?!" James shrugged as he walked towards William's desk but was pulled away by Von's grip. "Might as well try, I mean what is the worst thing that could happen!" Von sighed as he pulled James to his side.

"The worst thing that could happen is him being weirded out and started to think we are weirdo who has a crush on him—well I admit he's very attractive—" William choked on his saliva as he coughed. Von and James turned to look at the professor briefly before returning to their conversation.

"—but that is just a compliment. He is our professor and we should at least respect that" James frowned as he slightly nodded. "I guess you're right but I really wanted him to come with uss"

James whined as William slightly chuckled. He decided to accept his students invitation by inviting them instead.

"So class," William clapped his hands as he slightly raised his voice so that it can be heard throughout the lecture hall.

"I heard there is a science fair that will be held on Sunday near the university. If you all are willing to join me, you can come. I was planning on asking Louis and Albert but Louis has 3 lectures and Albert is busy"

James beamed brightly as he quickly said yes and half of the class agreed.

"Wonderful, I hope to see you at 1pm on Sunday. I will be waiting in front of the entrance, class dismissed"

They all said goodbye to William and finally, after a few more minutes the class was cleared and he was by himself.

William dropped down to his chair as he sighed. A deep sense of longing suddenly came back. Science fair. Even just thinking about that subject reminded him of that man. The man that William wished to return alive but lo and behold, the said man jumped after him.

William remembered it very well. How his last moments with him were the most memorable in his previous life. William was over the moon when Sherlock jumped after him because for once in his life, someone cared for him. Someone who he loved but was written as his arch nemesis.

"Live on.. you said to live on together" William whispered as he felt the birthmark that looked like a scar on his eye which William presumed it was the scar he gained from the fall in his life as the former lord of crime.

William wanted to erase the memories of his heinous crimes away from his life. Even in a new life, in a newer, more modern era, he still felt the blood on his hands, its boiling, its burning him.

Is this the punishment William has to endured? Living with the memories of his past life in everyone lifetime of his? No. William didn't think it was punishment. If anything, he thought that it was a gift. A gift given to him so that he can still remember and cherish the memories of him no matter of bittersweet it is.
