Findlay had been so bad good guy, she had somehow stumbled out the other side of The Second Titan War as a villain.

How she had gotten there, she wasn't certain. One moment she ended up beside Kronos, helping the people she had called enemies not even a year prior. One second she was standing beside her friends, sword in hand and confidence surging through her veins, then she blinked and she had been on the ground gasping for air. Body aching, heart sinking in her stomach, and her friends on the other side, raising their swords to cut her down. It stung. The way they stared her down with the looks reserved for enemies, now glaring daggers at her--Her who they had grown up with, fought beside, whose shoulder they had leaned on.

Findlay hadn't meant for this to happen. That was the worst of it. She'd wanted to help. Wanted to keep her friends safe from harm. Somehow in that process, they had ended up at arm's length and before she could grasp back and hold onto them, kronos had yanked her backward, towards him and the titans, towards the side littered with enemies. Enemies that were now her allies, but they were not her friends. Her friends she had betrayed. She had lied to them, run circles around the truth until they stopped trying to get it from  her. Trying to be selfless, she had done the most selfish thing of all. Findlay had taken the weight of the world on her shoulders, and then she had collapsed. Now everyone suffered the consequences of her mistakes.

The moments blurred together, memories whizzing past her eyes. Secret meetings, ill-fated deals, good-intentioned betrayals. It had hit her. She'd been played. A fool convinced they were a king. She's danced right into Kronos' hand and when she'd started to realize it, he'd crushed her.

She'd played the price of playing at being a hero, and now she had to figure out where to go next.
