Chapter 9

Coriolanus stands in the hallway by himself for a few minutes truly stunned. Lucy Gray had walked back to her room after what she told him to do. Of course Coriolanus immediately thought it was outlandish but once he started thinking harder about it, he was starting to think it could work. Dr. Gaul is the only one who is going to be upset about Lucy Gray getting out so no one else would care. If she's dead, Coriolanus would probably get her job too. He would be head game maker at the young age of 19. He would get to form a strong bond with the President and possibly learn from him. He could see all of his dreams slowly coming together.
"Coryo? What are you doing? I've been looking for you" Livia says walking into the hallway. He looks down at his feet.
"I had to talk to Lucy Gray before she went to bed" he said. Livia looked at him and down the hall to her room.
"Is there something more going on? Coriolanus, we're gonna be married, we should know everything about each other" she said grabbing his hand. He looked down at his hand in hers.
"I have been completely honest with you Liv. She is just someone that loved me in district 12. The only reason I talk to her is because it's my job. Dr. Gaul needs her to adjust to the Capitol lifestyle" he said.
"Then maybe we should set her up with a guy. She could start focusing on him, instead of you" she said teasing. Then some footsteps could be heard down the hallway. Lucy Gray came into the light near where the couple was standing. She gave them a scold and stopped in front of them.
"Funny story, Coryo. I could've sworn you were the one that told me you loved me back in 12" Lucy Gray says sarcastically. Livia looks over at him confused.
"I never said that...or I did but I just was entertaining you" he said flustered.
"You loved her?" Livia asked.
"No, I just told her that-" he started.
"Oh well, how about when you said I was the most beautiful girl you've ever seen, you told me that one today actually" Lucy Gray says stirring the pot. Livia looks up at him with tears in her eyes.
"You called her beautiful? I can't even get you to say my dresses are beautiful" Livia says breaking through her tears.
"Livia please. I can explain all of this" he said trying to get her to listen. She shook her head no, not wanting to hear anything he had to say.
"Livia, let me give you a ride home and I'll explain everything" he said calmly pleading.
Livia looked into his eyes and agreed. Coriolanus gave Lucy Gray a death look before walking away with Livia.

Coriolanus opened the car door for Livia then got in immediately after her. She looked over at him, expecting all of her questions and doubts to be answered.
"Okay, I was in love with Lucy Gray in 12. She broke my heart though, she left me when I needed her most, when I trusted her most. Dr. Gaul brought her here to test my strength, obviously this has been very hard for me but today I chose you. I want you Livia, you are my future wife, my First Lady" he said holding her hand.
She gave him a warm smile. "Why didn't you just tell me?" She asked.
"I thought you would think less of me for loving someone that is district" he said.
"I would never Coryo. It hurts to hear that you loved someone before me, but I know now that it's real for us" she said wrapping herself around him.
"Hey driver, can you actually take us to this address" she says giving the Avox a piece of paper. He nods and turns the car around.
"Where are we going" Coriolanus asked confused.
"It's a surprise" she said giggling. He sighed and sat back with her. The car made its way over to the more expensive area, near the Presidents mansion. They drive by the Plinths house and keep going down their road. Eventually the car stops in front of a large house with no lights on. Livia gets out of the car and Coriolanus follows suit. She walks up to the large house and unlocked it.
"Welcome home Coriolanus" she said smiling big at him.
"What? This is my- our house" he said confused. She nodded and kept smiling at him.
"My parents got it for us. I told them that you want to be president and they thought that it was only fitting that we started living on this side of town together then" she said. He looked around the area in awe, it was beautiful. He looked over at Livia and finally gave her a big hug, picking her off the ground.
"Livia it's perfect. I can already see us growing a family here" he said proudly. She smiled and let out a little laugh.
"There's a bed upstairs" she said looking deep in his eyes. He looked at her unsure, he didn't know if he could do that with her right now. They called it 'making love' and he didn't think he loved Livia fully. If they did, she might figure out that Coriolanus was not over Lucy Gray. If he decided to opt out, she might realize that Coriolanus didn't really love her. He gave Livia a nod and carried her upstairs to the master bedroom.
He set her down on the bed and laid her back. He got on top of her and hovered over her lips.
"Are you sure you want to do this" he asked. She gave him a smile and a quick yes. He leaned down and started kissing her. First it was gentle kisses, like the ones they've previously shared but it soon became hungry. He moved away from her lips and started kissing her neck. He was adorning her neck with kisses and sucking gently at the base of her neck leaving his mark on her. He gently pulled the shoulders of her dress lower exposing her collar bone. He started giving his kisses there before quickly moving back up to her lips. He pulled away and got off the bed. He offered her a hand up. She took it confused as to why they stopped. He walked her up to a mirror in the room and stood behind her. He pushed her hair out of his way and unzipped the back of her dress down and she stepped out of it. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and looked at her reflection in the mirror.
"My god Livia, you are perfection itself" he said admiring her body. She blushed and tried to hide her face. He turned her around and had her look into his eyes.
"I mean it, you are absolutely gorgeous. You deserve to hear it everyday" he said meaningfully. She just gave him a longing look then looked at his body. He looked at himself with her, realizing he was still fully clothed.
"Get on the bed" he said commanding her. She quickly laid down on the bed following his order.
He stripped out of his nice clothes and got himself down to just his boxers. He climbed into the bed pulling himself over Livia's small frame. He started kissing her again but this time going lower. He kissed her breasts and stomach slowly inching himself lower to the only area covered on her. When he makes it down there he slowly takes her underwear off. She lets out a soft moan and he looks up at her. That sound was beautiful, he wanted her to do it again. He turns his focus back down to where he was at. He positioned his head between her legs are started kissing her again. She let out a much louder moan than she gave previously, turning Coriolanus on. He licked around her opening giving himself time to bask in her flavor. After a while he couldn't take it anymore, he needed to be inside her. He sat up and took his boxers off. Livia looked down at his large member and her eyes widened. He grabbed her chin and had her look at him.
"You're mine?" He said moving his hand to be around her neck.
"I love you Coriolanus, I'm yours" she said breathless. He takes his large penis and slowly inserts it into her. The feeling is overwhelming, every part of his body tingles and all of the air feels like it got sucked out of him. He leans down to be closer to Livia's body. He started thrusting into her at a steady pace. She started moaning louder causing Coriolanus to hide his face in her neck. He didn't want her to see how pleasing this was for him. He started thrusting into her harder and faster making him start to let out groans in her ear. As they near a climax he pulls his head out to see Livia's face as she finished.
"Coryo" "Lucy Gray" they say at the same time.
He looks down at her shocked with himself, why did he just say that. She looked at him upset.
"Did you just say her name? Were you imagining it was her the whole time?" She asked pushing Coriolanus off her.
"Livia, Livia. I'm sorry. I swear I wasn't thinking of her. It just came out. I was here with you the whole time. My first time was with you" he said trying to convince her. She started putting on her clothes and he stopped her and pulled her in to him.
"Livia, please. I am sorry. I told you how hard all of this is for me. Maybe I was just thinking about her because of a job I have to do with her" he said resting his head on her shoulder.
"A job?" She asked.
"Livia, give me 2 days. In two days, I'm sneaking Lucy Gray out of the Capitol. Then it's just me and you. I'm all yours forever, we can forget about her and live the life we deserve" he said squeezing her tight.
"Coriolanus that's treason" she said trying to pull away. He pulled away from her and looked her in the eyes.
"Do you want her to stay here forever? Because if I don't get her out, she stays. My first love, lurking around, always being a distraction for me. But if she leaves, my attention goes to you, all of it" he said feeling up her waist and back. She gives him a defeated look.
"You love me, and only me once she's gone?" She asked.
"I'm all yours Livia" he said.
"No, you love me?" she said pushing.
"Yes, I love you. I love Lucy Gray too, but when she's gone, I'll only love you" he said giving in.
"Okay, get her out of here then. Do whatever you have to do" she said.

The next day Coriolanus wakes up with his fiancé sleeping on his chest. He spilled what he needed to, it wasn't the full story but that was never to be revealed. He slowly slipped out from under Livia and put his clothes on. He didn't want to wake her but felt like he shouldn't just leave.
He gently kissed her head trying to wake her enough to say goodbye. She stirred and slightly opened her eyes.
"I have to get to work Livia. I just wanted to say goodbye. I uh, I love you" he said giving her another kiss on the cheek. She smiled lightly then turned back over and closed her eyes.
He slipped out of their room and made his way out of the house. He didn't even think about the walk he was going to have to make today. This new commute to work would require a car. He decided today he would just make the walk not wanting to communicate with any more people than he needed to. As he arrived to work late, he thought why not talk to Lucy Gray again. He made his way over to her room. She sat on her bed strumming a guitar that she received from an admirer at some party.
"Lucy Gray. I know we fought last night but I still plan to get you out tomorrow" he said letting her know he was there.
"Okay" she said simply. She paid him no mind and kept strumming. This upset him. He kept looking at her, wanting for their eyes to meet.
"Lucy Gray can you look at me please" he asked.
She rolled her eyes and kept playing. He walked closer to her and grabbed her face. She tried to pull away but he held tight. She gave him an angry look.
"I love you Lucy Gray. I love you so much that I accidentally called Livia your name last night" he said looking into her eyes. Her gaze soften on him.
"So is the engagement off" she asked hopeful.
"No, I love Livia too. I don't know" he said hopeless. Lucy Gray got off her bed and hugged him.
"I'm always yours Coryo, forever. What do I have to do for you to join me on the trip?" She said pleading.
There was nothing she could do, he was set. He was going to kill Dr. Gaul, he would get Lucy Gray on the plane, and he would be head game maker. His dreams all belonged to the Capitol, everything he needed was here. He didn't want to tell her that though, it would break her heart. She would no longer say that she was his. He couldn't lose her love. He looked down at her big brown doe eyes pleading with him.
"I'll go with you Lucy Gray" he says lying. She pulls away shocked.
"Seriously? You'll go north with me? You'll leave Panem?" She asked not believing it.
"You were my first love" he said not able to lie to her again. She smiled and pulled him down to her, giving him a loving kiss. He pulled her in making the kiss deeper, meaning more. She started backing up towards the bed.
"Will you make love to me Coriolanus" she asked.
He looked her up and down, knowing it was wrong but wanting to so badly. He was supposed to be at work right now, helping Dr. Gaul.
"I can't. I need to go. I want to though. I want to give myself over to you" he said. He thought of the night he just shared with Livia and imagined how the act would feel with Lucy Gray.
"I wanted to just tell you the plan for tomorrow though" he said before he left. She looked up at him listening to every word.
"I am going to kill Gaul tonight. I will poison her. Then tomorrow night at 10 the train comes into town. I have a truck that is picking up all of the supplies that I will drive. Before I take it to the aircraft I will sneak in here and get you out" he said. She smiled.
"We're gonna be together forever. Just like our stars told us" she said pulling him in for another kiss. He smiled in the kiss and slowly walked away.
That had to be the last time he kissed her.
