The next few months move slowly, as the months move my mood also becomes good as it means i am are nearing the day to which maams will tell his answer.
Even though he has studied in UK and is still a rich businessman and ardent politician, when it comes to this whole love thing or anything else he is a baby. He doesn't know how to manipulate, cheat or escape from responsibilities. He is someone who would do something about his responsibility even if he knows nothing about it beforehand. This situation is the best example.
He could have said no to the marriage. He could have very well ignored me completely after the marriage. But he didn't. He married me and even though it was tough for him which made him react ignorant at first, he came up and apologized to me and opened himself to me. This in turn lead us to make a decision together for which we both are still working towards.
Maama still keeps his distance from me, in no way does he want to distract me, he is crystal clear in that. But he has turned more softer, asking me about my day and talking about various other interests other than just asking me about my studies. It is like I have a big support pillar beside me to defend me if at all i have any problem or to just share anything in my mind. The same goes for him. I didn't expect him to but he shares his thoughts and day too.
I don't know much about politics but recently, I have been learning a lot from him. He reminds me so much of his father. He is following his father's path without any deviation. He is honest and generous and actually wants to do the people good. That is exactly why he has gained same but more love from the people and a great opposition and enemies who want to destroy him just like they destroyed his father.
I hope he is just like his father in one particular thing. Our marriage. His appa loved atha like anything. Though he got many love proposals he rejected all of them because he wanted to commit himself only to the woman his parents chose for him. After marriage too he never compromised on atha and treated her like a superpower.
They are the ideal couple of our family.
Apart from politics which occupy almost the whole of his day we talk about cinema and cricket. Both of these are our favourite pass time. I would tease his two films while he would keep defending them. We would also discuss about hollywood and bollywood movies apart from kollywood and mollywood.
Not just that, we also discuss family matters. Past, present and future. His opinion on all of them is different, selfless and just. That is what makes me firmly believe that he is absolutely like his father and that he has been raised very well by him and atha.
All of this while another couple got caught in our family.
That is none other than........Karthi and Divya.
Well, yes. It was paati and a few other who caught them.
When they all went to terrace after dinner to enjoy the breeze, they caught them enjoying themselves while kissing.
It didn't become that much of a big issue as us. Maama handled it peacefully and convinced the parents to get them married since Divya has been going to job for a few months now (She is a year senior to me).
We completed all the shopping in one day in our home itself since all the dresses were brought to the home itself.
For jewellary and thaali shopping alone all the women of the household went together.
Within a blink it was their wedding reception.
Maama and I stand in the welcoming place together and greet the guests.
Maama is wearing a suit and i am wearing a maroon designer saree.
He didn't say anything to me about my looks but i sure was impressed by his. His hair is in his usual man bun and the suit hugs him perfectly making his features stand out and make him look ultra handsome.
