Five days have passed since Zyla was found by Sokka and Katara. The small cuts on her face had turned into faint scratches and the dark bruising turned into a yellowish brown color. Her pin straight, dark brown hair lies neatly by her side as it cascades past her shoulders and ends at her elbows. The streaks in  her hair were white as the snow that gently fell outside.

She had been clothed in a new outfit, which happened to be an extra pair of Katara's clothes. The blue hues of the water tribe fabrics brought out the fairness to her skin, lips, and the white streaks in her hair. It was fairly tough for Katara and Gran Gran to put the clothes on her body, but they were successful.

"I'm telling you, Katara, there's something strange going on with her!" Sokka argued while they walked. Ever since white fire started to burn in place of the normal fire in the fire pit, Sokka launched an investigation. Katara didn't care too much at first since he didn't bother her like he used to, now, he's becoming obsessed and rather annoying.

His theories were rather odd. One happened to be that she is the monster that he saw the day she was found. The other theory was how she is a rare bender that was sent as a spy from the fire nation. Katara and Gran Gran listened but they didn't believe him. The two would discuss their own theories about how she was an escaped war prisoner or she was sent to them by the great water spirits.

"There's nothing wrong with her, sokka, you're just being paranoid. I'm sure there's a logical explanation as to why there's white fire" "oh really? Like what?" Sokka questioned with raised a brow and his arms folded. Even if there's a logical explanation, you still couldn't convince sokka. He's as stubborn as a hippo-cow. "Like gran gran said, it could be a sign from the spirits. Besides, you're becoming too obsessed with this whole investigation"

"I am not becoming obsessed!" Sokka retorted, completely ignoring Katara's first statement. "Yes you are! You've skipped warrior training with the  kids, and you've missed meals! You never miss meals!"

"Well..." sokka's mouth hung open due to loosing his wording which caused Katara to smirk in victory. "What? cat got your tongue?" Katara questioned with amusement. Sokka was cut off from resuming his sentence due to gran gran running up to them. They look at her with surprise. They have never seen their grandmother move so quickly, let alone sprint from their home to where the siblings stood. On her face was a mix of urgency and excitement which surprised the siblings. "She's awake! Come quick!"

They rushed back to the igloo to see Zyla propping herself on her elbows, as if she's trying to get up. "Oh dear, don't get up so quickly," Gran Gran said as she gently helped Zyla to sit up. Sokka and Katara stare at her in bewilderment as she rubs her forehead due to being dizzy.

"Who are you and what are you doing here!" Sokka demanded, causing a collective of surprised gasps from Gran Gran and Katara. "Young man! Where are your manners!" Gran Gran scolded, yanking on his ear causing Katara to stifle a laugh due to how red his face had gotten.

"Sorry gran" he winced, rubbing his ear in embarrassment and discomfort.

Zyla stayed silent, seemingly ignoring Sokka's questions. She took in her environment and the people that surrounded her. "Give her time to adjust, she just woke up and is probably scared," Gran Gran reminded them. As Zyla looked around, she couldn't help but be confused as to why she woke up here but yet she was happy that she didn't wake up anywhere else.

Despite the size of the igloo, it was cozy and inviting. Different kinds of animal skins lined the walls and floors to trap heat inside. There was also a large cooking area in the middle of the room that had a stand which held a large cast iron cauldron to cook various soups and stews that would warm anyone up after a cold day outside.  "I..."  Zyla spoke up, grabbing the attention of the three people with her. On the inside, they were antsy as to what she has to say. Yet they didn't want to pressure her and sokka didn't want to get an earful from his gran again.
