"Maybe go to the pool again? See if you catch his attention," Belly says as I'm laying down on my bed and she's sitting in my vanity chair. "He's been ignoring me for 2 weeks, what difference is it gonna make that I'm in a bikini. "Uh you're hot that's the difference," Belly giggles. "Oh so I'm only hot when my tits and ass are out?" I laugh and throw a pillow at her. "I'll go with you," she says. "Really?" I sit up on my elbows. "Yeah why not," she responds. "Uh because you have an excuse every time I want to go to the pool," I say.

"I don't wanna see Cam," she says looking at the ground. "What? Why not?" I ask. "I'm gonna break up with him," she tells me. "Belly what? He's like the perfect guy," I say. "But he's not Conrad," she says. "Okay you need to learn that just because a guy isn't Conrad doesn't mean you can't enjoy their presence," I say. "Everytime I'm with Cam all I can think about is how much I wish I was doing whatever we're doing, with Conrad and not Cam," she says. "Okay you know what, we're going to the pool and if you see Cam you're just gonna have to end it," I tell her. "Fine," she responds.

"Just letting you know I am not getting in the water, I can't risk my cast getting wet," I tell Belly as we're walking to the gate of the pool. "Duh," she responds. "I hope Nicole isn't here," Belly says. "Okay I get her and Conrad have like, a thing. But she's way too nice for you to resent her," I say as I open the gate. "Resent who?" Nicole says as she walks up to me and Belly. "Oh uh, a girl from Boston, you wouldn't know her," I say to save Belly.

"Oh well, I was just about to go get a virgin Pina Colada, either of you want anything?" she asks. "Oo can you get me a virgin strawberry daiquiri?" I ask. "Me too," Belly responds. "On it," Nicole says before walking away. "Thank you," Belly mouths to me. We search for Nicole's stuff to set up by and find it quickly. Belly helps me rub tanning lotion on my back and I lay down on the chair. "I don't see Jeremiah," I say to Belly. "Me neither," she responds. "Wait right there," Belly says and points to the furthest Lifeguard chair from us. He's currently getting down the ladder. "Let's go walk by him," Belly says.

Finally on my break today. I should've never taken up this job just to work with Steven. He doesn't even work at the cafe anymore so I don't see him. I'm walking to the shed when I see Lily. God she looks so good. She's with Belly and they're laughing about something. And walking this way. They're walking this way. As they walk past me I act like I don't see them so Lily hopefully says something first. She doesn't. She doesn't even look at me. I turn around and walk towards her. I grab her shoulder and she jumps.

We walk past Jeremiah and nothing. He doesn't even look at me. I feel an unexpected hand on my shoulder and I jump. I turn around and it's him. It's Jeremiah. "Hi," I say. I turn around and I see Belly continuing to walk away leaving me with Jeremiah. "We need to talk," he says. "Okay, where?" I ask trying to hide the excitement in my voice that he's finally talking to me again. "We can go inside if you want," he says. "That works," I respond. We walk inside of the country club to the lobby. I expect to stop here but he continues walking. Up the stairs and to a room I've never been in before.

He opens the door and closes it behind him once I'm inside. It's a small room but not closet sized. There's nothing in it except a stack of chairs and a mop bucket. "Why are we in here?" I ask. "I wanted to talk in private" he says. "Why have you been ignoring me for the past two weeks?" he asks. "What? you've been ignoring me!" I respond. "No I haven't! You haven't talked to me or looked at me Lily," he says. "Well you haven't talked or looked at me either Jere," I say. "Because you've been doing the same to me," Jeremiah responds. "Because you're mad at me!" I say.

"I'm not mad!" he responds. "You were mad at the party," I tell him. "You remember the party? You were wasted. You said some crazy stuff," he says. "It wasn't crazy," I whisper. "What?" he says. "I said, it wasn't crazy! Maybe I meant all of it," I say. "You- you actually meant it?" he asks. I nod my head shamefully. "Lily I thought you were wasted. That's why I was mad. I thought it was all just because you were drunk. Because I wanted you to mean it so bad," he says. "You wanted me to mean it?" I ask.

"Lily, you don't know how much I meant what I told you. I canny think when you're around and when you're not, you're all I think about," he says. I take a step forward so that our chests are almost touching. "Well I meant every word too," I say quietly but loud enough so he can hear it. I grab his hands interlock our fingers. "Kiss me." he says. Without hesitation I stand up on my tippy toes and smash our lips together. The kiss is so hungry I have to let go of his hands to grab his face and hold it against mine.

Now that his hands are free Jeremiah grabs my waist and lightly squeezes it. I pull back slightly to breathe and kiss him again. Jeremiah slowly starts walking forward with our bodies still connected. Suddenly my back hits a wall. Jeremiah removes one of his hands from my waist to click the lock on the door. I pull back and laugh, "really?" "Can never be too safe," he laughs and kisses me again. We kiss a lot, for a long, long time. I pull back slightly and look him in the eyes. "Jere," I say breathily. "Yeah?" he asks. "I want you so bad," I say. "Here?" he asks.

I shyly nod my head. "Have you.. done it, before?" he asks. I shake my head no. "Then not here," he tells me. "Why not?" I ask. "Your first time shouldn't be in some random tiny room Lil," he says and then kisses me again. "Okay," I whisper.
