~The next day at dinner time~

Cassilynn and I sat in Dad's office. Dobby had brought us trays of food, at dad's request, so we didn't have to eat in the Great Hall. Cassilynn had a similar reaction to the Boggart as I had. Lupin decided to allow the students that didn't get to have a go redo the lesson of yesterday. She was actually able to make it funny, but she also ran out of the room, spending the rest of the lesson and most of lunch in Dad's office. I collected her homework for the day, like dad told me to, and now I was back in dad's office to sit with her.

"I get why you felt so powerless against the boggart now. I kind of wish I wasn't part of the group that begged Lupin for another go at the lesson."

"Yeah, well. Live and learn. At least we know what our actual worst fears are. Dad helped me realise it was a combination of finally feeling like I actually have family and the loss of my mum that contributed to that fear. Doesn't make it any less scary, but it helped me to realise I wasn't alone and that fears are just fear."

"Yeah, dad helped me too. Said that my fear was a combination of the same thing, except my mum didn't die. My mum was arrested while she was holding me. It was my first birthday. The Aurors ripped me from her arms and tossed me off to Aunt Cissa. My birthday party had just ended, and dad was off at a meeting with Lucius. And then, well you know the rest. You mum was killed, and dad went off to pray she was still alive, only to find you and Harry the only ones still alive in the house."

I hummed in agreement and then we fell silent as we ate our food. Dad must have told Dobby what foods we typically eat in the Great Hall for dinner. Both our trays had loaded a mile high with all our favourite dinner foods and a smaller plate in the corner loaded with our favourite desserts. It was nice of Dumbledore to allow Dobby to have a job here and be free to do whatever he wished over holidays and a few weekends here and there. Dobby had popped in over the summer to see Draco and me. I quite enjoyed his company, and it seemed Draco did so as well.

"How are you girls doing?" Dad's voice asked after the door closed loudly.

"We're okay, dad. Did Dumbledore throw a fit about us not being in the Great Hall?"

"He was a bit miffed, however he shut up once I explained you both have had a very trying past two days."

"Well, Dumbledore will be Dumbledore. Sometimes it feels like he doesn't really care about anyone but whoever surrounds themselves in Harry's danger escapades." I huffed.

"Be that as it may, he has still told me to talk obligation in training you both in the casting of a patronus. He heard about what happened on the train, and Lupin is already training Harry after the boggart incident yesterday. Since, you Allyson, had a similar experience on the train and there are dementors all around the school. He thought it wise you knew how to defend yourself against them. I convinced him to allow me to also train you, Cassi."

"Right... When is that supposed to start? Because I already have a packed schedule. Draco wants to teach me how to fly a broom better." I questioned.

"Saturday. I've done spoke to Draco. You'll have your flying lessons after we spend a few hours after classes."

Dad sits at his desk, and it was silent once more while Cassilynn and I finished eating. It was actually kind of nice to be allowed to eat in silence. The Great Hall is always over stimulating with all the lights and the chattering. I feel like Draco and Harry will be biting my head off later, though. They tend to worry if they don't see me for a while, especially after last year and what happened on the train.

"Alright, you two. You both should be off to bed. You have one and a half days of classes and then your packed weekend. Cassi, you have tutoring with a few first years and the patronus lessons all after Hogsmeade. Ally, you have patronus lessons and flying lessons after Hogsmeade. Not to mention your homework to be completed."
