two. before.

"Honey..you have to get up. Eat something." Shawn creaked oped the bedroom door of his daughter's room.

"Go away." Sydney groaned, her face in her pillow. The dim light of her computer screen shining in her face, playing an old eighties movie she liked.

"Sydney, you have to eat." The man said more sternly, "You can't just lay around all day and watch The Breakfast Club." He leaned against the doorway, arms crossed over his chest.

"I said 'go away!'" Her raised voice was muffled by the soft cushion. "Fuck you!" Bender shouted at the crappy principle in the movie.

"Shawn, just leave her be." Natasha pulled her husband away from the door by his bicep. "Besides, we have to go to work. She'll be fine." She soothed his nerves, rubbing her hand on his back.

'Finally.' The fourteen year old sighed when she heard the front door close.

After, maybe, four hours, and Sydney has watched three and a half movies before getting bored. Finally, she pulled herself out of her bedroom at the neediness of her orange, tabby cat

"Here you go." She poured a cup of cat food into the food bowl of the feline, which immediately started eating.

A blue sticky note stuck on the fridge door, reading "Food is in the microwave -Mom "

The blonde opened the microwave to see a bowl of leftover Chicken Alfredo, that she ignored the night before. She pressed the one minute button, heating it up.

The clock reading five o clock, Natasha walked through the door home from work. While, Sydney was laid out on the living room couch, The Big Bang Theory playing on the TV.

"Hey sweetheart." The woman called out, "How was your day?" She spoke hoping for a reply, that she knew she, likely, wouldn't get.

But to her surprise, "Alright. The Alfredo was good." Syd ran her fingers down the back of the orange feline that laid on her stomach. "Roxy kept clawing at Asher's door, had to keep him occupied."

The blonde woman dropped her purse on the dining table, "Maybe he left one of his toys in there and wanted to get it." She said, hoping to pull out some of the weight in the topic.

"You know that's not why."
