eight. now.

Sydney's head rested against the bus window, mindlessly fidgeting with the mini stick shift in her hands. Her blue eyes caught sight of a sign, 'WELCOME TO SAVANNAH' notifying everyone that they finally reached their destination.

Not long after, the bus was brought to a stop. Slowly, groggily students stood from their seats; stretching from being cooped up in a school bus for eight consecutive hours.

"Where should we go first?" The light brunette boy asked timidly, tapping his fingers together. The group walked together, all in the same direction. The twins stood together, Ben and Logan, Ashlyn and Sydney, Aiden in front of the two girls.

"Um," The blonde spoke lightly, "How about food?" Her hands resting in her black jeans.

"I agree." Taylor nodded, "We haven't eaten since we stopped for lunch a few hours ago. We get food and then talk about what we're doing next." The girl rambled.

"Sure." The twin boy nodded along.

Ben ended up finding a small diner for them to eat at. After everyone ate, Aiden decided they should go on a horse and buggy ride; so they did. Logan and Taylor found some landmarks. Aiden stuck his head in a bunch of lamps.

"Whew! I think I'm light headed." The blond mumbled, holding his head in his hands.

"That's what happens when you stick your head in light sources." Sydney went along with his words, finally contributing in a conversation. Those were the only words she's said to the group since they found the restaurant.

To say the least, she felt like an outsider. There wasn't many groups of seven out if the whole class, and she was in one if them. There wasn't enough seats in a regular booth for all of them, so they got a bigger one. They could only sit three to a seat on the horse and buggy, so she sat in the back. Alone.

She seemed to follow the group around like a sad puppy that was trying to be left behind by its pack. She didn't mind, really. She's been doing this her whole life.

"Oh my god!" The tall girl cut her out of her thoughts, "Face paint!" She bounced ahead to the stand.

Ashlyn got spiderwebs. Ben got a mustache. The twins got matching butterflies. Logan got polkadots. Sydney, actually joining in on something, got a ladybug. Aiden got his signature smiley faces.

"Excuse me!" A dark haired woman caught their attention, "Would you be interested in a tour of The Sorrel Weed House? A group canceled last minute and we have some open spots if you're interested."

'I don't like t—'

"Wait, really?!" Taylor jumped up, "This place is supposed to be super haunted! We gotta go!"

"Sure." Tyler muttered.

"I'm in!" Aiden laughed.
