"Kids! Come on! You're gonna make us late!" Shawn yelled from the bottom of the stairs, keys dangling from the ring in his hand. Both kids ran down, racing to the door. "Asher, what did I say about wearing your cleats in the house?"

The boy picked his sneakers up from the foyer, holding them up at his dad before running after his sister. She grabbed the door handle to the passenger seat, heart set on sitting there.

"Shotgun!" The brunette boy shouted right before she got the chance to climb in.

"Ugh! That's not fair!" Sydney groaned, throwing her head back, making her way to the backseat.

"Oh, but when you do it is?" Asher countered. Tossing his duffel bag in the floorboard.

"What do you mean? I never get the front."

"Maybe if you call it, then you might." The blonde pouted at his words.

"Be nice to your sister." Shawn grunted, starting the truck and pulling out the driveway. Asher sighed, crossing his arms while Sydney stuck her tongue out at him.

"I'm the reason we won, and you know it." Asher pointed at his sister, just walking back from his teammates. The girl and their father sat on the sidelines of the soccer field in foldable chairs.

"Says the one that fell on his face." She mentioned the scrape on his chin and the grass stains on his knees and hands. Shawn chuckled at the banter.

"Alright, lets get packed up and go home. Mom's waiting." The man stood, folding his chair up. Sydney and Asher doing the same. Making it to the truck, throwing the chairs in the truck bed.

"Shotgun!" Syndey shouted, running to the passenger side.

"Oldest!" Asher shoved her lightly, climbing into the vehicle.

"Dad! There's no way that's fair!" Her arms fell to her side.

"Suck it up, kiddo. Ash, she called it. Give it up." Shawn closed the bed gate with a loud click.
