ANSWERING QUESTIONS was not on Cyn's agenda for her first day back at Oxford, but just like everything else - Felix had a way of roping absolutely anyone into his plans.
"On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say a cig brings it up to a light 8."
She replied to his joke about her last minute cigarette and blueberry muffin for breakfast.
"A light 8, you say?"
His pierced eyebrow quirked as Felix smiled, Cyn laughed at his rather futile attempt to hit on her.
Her laugh was like the sweetest symphony, genuine and hearty without being too obnoxious.
"So, why are you still talking to me anyway? I think your lapdogs need their owner back."
Her shoulder-length braids swished as she stood up to stomp her cigarette butt out on the ground, Felix let out a low chuckle.
The pair walked side by side along the crisp lawn, seemingly in agreement to ditch classes for the rest of the Afternoon and hit The King's Arms.
"Lapdogs? That's rich, Royce.
Besides, I'd much rather talk to you than be doing some bullshit 12 page essay on Shakespeare."
He pulled out a white box of Marlboros, lighting up his 3rd one of the day with a red BIC lighter before offering her one.
"You didn't deny it though."
Cyn smirked and leaned in closer for him to light it up, gratefully taking a long pull from the cigarette.
Oliver Quick eyed the two through a glass window, even he could see how Felix hung onto her every word from such a distance.
A blind man could tell how foolishly in love he was with the girl.
Cyn Royce had that effect on people without even trying.
Only she could leave the ever-so-cool Felix Catton with his tongue tied and stomach knotted.
And Oliver hated that he could never make Felix look at him the same.
