Chapter 4

"Brooklyn, I'm so sorry."She walks over to me and helps me up. "Rox, how long was I gone?"she questions.
"Two and a half minutes,"Roxie says after checking her watch.
"What on god's green earth just happened!?"I say, my voice rising.
"Would any of you care to explain what just happened?!"I say, sure they can hear how irritated I am.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ALEX'S POV

I can hear how irritated Brooklyn is, her voice rising as the other campers wonder what is going on.
"Brooklyn I know you're really irritated at me, but Roxie will explain everything.But right now I need you to calm down, you're going to wake the employees, If you get caught with your ears and tails out you will be turned in, hurt ,or worse."
That seems to have gotten her attention because her angry face drops and It just turned to worry she hides her ears and tails.Then before anyone could stop her she grabs some black jeans, a blue shirt and her red jacket and puts them in a bookbag.Then runs past Dave and the other campers.I grab a gun and I run after her.I turn into a full on wolf and I run down the stairs I search for hours and I couldn't find anything so I went to my safe space and when I got there I saw Brooklyn.I shift back into my human from sit down next to her we sit in silence for a few minutes and then she breaks it.
"Why did you point your gun at me?Why'd you come after me? And why are you here?"She questions me, her voice rising every minute. I stare at the ground, I feel tears on my face, I look up at her.
" I didn't mean to. My powers over take me sometimes, I...I ... I came after you because I'm an employee and I also kind of made you run away.And I came here because this is my safe space where I'm able to think.And Im so sorry I didn't mean to scare you and I never wanted to hurt you in anyway."I take my knife out of my pocket and put it to my wrist then I push and I keep pushing till I draw blood.I pull the knife out of my wrist and before I can move it down so I can do it again but Brooklyn takes the knife out of my hand before I can do so and drags me to the cabinet I had set up when I spent a week up here.She opened the cabinet and grabbed a first-aid kit and cleaned up my wound and wrapped it.
"We should go back to camp, the sun is setting."My hand slipped into hers and walked back to camp talking.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AT CAMP

We arrived back at camp and Roxie came running up to us, bombarding us with questions.
"Where were you?And Why'd you run away, Brooklyn, and why didn't you contact us?"
"I wanted to Rox but I left my walkie in my suitcase and I found her in my safe place."
"I'm sorry for running away I..I just couldn't be there.When I get really strong emotions I run away to a safe place where I can decompress."Brooklyn explains.Roxie answers with a simple nod and walks off we walk over to the elevator click the button and head to the room. Then Brooklyn looks down at her hands only to realize that her right hand was still connected to my left hand.She squeezes my hand and looks at me like she was about to cry so I pull her toward me into a hug and she hugs me and holds on for dear life.We stay like that for some time then I hear a whimper,I look down at brooklyn to see her crying.She looks up at me and her gorgeous blue eyes were full of sorrow and sadness. I pull her up so I'm holding her. I walk over to the bed, sit down and rock her back and forth till the whimpering stops and she looks up at me and asks "Can you get me a cup of water?"
"Whatever you need cupcake"I set her down and head to the living area, I grab a cup and fill it with water and walk back to the room. "Here you go cupcake."I say, handing her the cup.
"Thank you"Brooklyn looks at me and then looks at the door to ensure it was closed and then brought out her ears and tails.
"Hey alex?"
"Yes cupcake?"
"Give me the gun you pointed at me"
"Ok"She hands me the gun then says,
"I'm gonna go get ready for bed cupcake, you should too."
She simply nods, gets up and walks over to her suitcase.

AFTER THAT
3RD PERSON POV
Roxie walks in only to see an empty room she walks closer to the bed and realizes the room isn't empty she hears noise coming from the bathroom and decides to knock on the door. 
The door opens and Brooklyn looks at her.
"Do you need something?"Brooklyn asks, raising an eyebrow leaning against the door frame holding a toothbrush.
"Yes,yes I do.Is Alex here?"Roxie asks
"Uh...No I'm pretty sure she's playing uno in the common area."Brooklyn answers. Roxie nods her head and walks out.Brooklyn follows after she finishes brushing her teeth, only to see Alex storm past her.
