When I wake up my hand is in brooklyn's, Maisie on top of me and Brooklyn's other hand in Maisie's.I look at maisie.*Alexa's thoughts* She looks so perfect...Wait what???OMG WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?!I close my eyes and breathe,removing my hand from Brooklyn's, trying to calm myself before she wakes up.
CHAPTER 13
MAISIES POV:
I wake up on top of Alex and try to get up but something is stopping me.I look over to my left,Brooklyn is hugging my hand.I smile,looking at her.A strand of hair falls onto her face.I move my right hand carefully to her face and gently tuck it behind her ear.I lay beside her,to switch my hands carefully, not making a sound.Alex gets up and asks "What are you doing?"
"I'm stuck,"I say, gesturing to my hand
"Oh,I'm going to go see if the others are up."Alex says getting up
"Mkay,"I say as she leaves.I turn to Brooklyn
"Brooklyn,babes it's time to get up"I whisper gently
"5 more minutes"She mutters,rolling onto me.
"Okay baby"I say, adjusting myself into a comfier position.My right hand now on her right shoulder,her now hugging my left hand,her head in the crook of my neck.
FIVE MINUTES LATER
"Brooklyn, love it's been five minutes"I say trying again
"Nooooooooooo"She complains
"Yes love"I say gently pushing her to get up
"Fineee ''She says sitting up, rubbing her eyes. I sit up and move to the edge of the bed with her still in my lap. She wraps her legs around my waist and her arms around my neck, I stand up delicately so I don't hurt her. *Maisies thoughts* She's so light. I walk to what I guess you would call the "Living space" and set her down in a chair. everyone seems to have left for the day. I was standing at the kitchen counter and let out a slight gasp when Brooklyn hugged me from behind. Her right hand was in the center of my chest and her left hand on top of her right ,her head resting on my shoulder. She whispered"I'm cold,"I take off my jacket and give it to her, she puts it on and her tail starts to wag. I smile and sit at the table. "You're really pretty,"She compliments
"Thank you"I say not wanting to make eye contact because I'm already blushing. I hear her breathing fasten I look at her. She's sitting on the ground,her wolf ears down, her hands shaking. She looks at me with nothing but fear in her eyes, she starts to mumble, shifting her eyes to the ground. I can't hear what she's saying but I know what's happening.
"Brooklyn baby look at me" I say getting on the floor looking at her, her eyes don't move from the ground, I take her shaky hands in mine. Her eyes shift from the ground to me, she's still mumbling. I can feel her heartbeat in her hands.
"Brook I need you to calm down, I can feel your heartbeat in your hands" I plead "Take a breath with me Babes" I say taking a breath, she tried but ended up gasping instead.
I can tell she's having a hard time breathing.
I kiss her so she would stop muttering, that shut her up real quick, she kissed me back after a moment she pulled away a smile appearing on her face, she was blushing SOOOO hard.
"That shut you up real quick"I say smirking
"Shut uppppp"She says burying her face in her hands
"Come here"I say gesturing to the spot next to me
"Okay"She says, rolling her eyes playfully,she moves so she's sitting next to me,I take her hand interlacing our fingers.She puts her head on my shoulder
"Your really pretty" I whisper under my breath
"Thank you"she whispered back to me, running her thumb over the back of my hand.
TEN MINUTES LATER
"YAZ,THAT WASN'T A FAIR RACE"Sammy yelled in her southern accent, climbing up the ladder.
"Yes it was,I won I won"Yaz said doing a celebratory dance,"Oh hello humans"Yaz said noticing us,she looks down at us on the floor,she notices my hand is in Brooks,seeming perplexed she asks "What are you doing on the floor?"
"The floor is comfy,"Brooklyn said almost immediately,removing her head from my shoulder.
"Ok?How long have you guys been up for?"
"Don't know about a half hour I think"I say, rubbing the back of her hand with my thumb.
"Mkay Sammy, let's go find the others,"Yaz tells Sammy, jumping down the ladder.
"Alright"She say going after Yaz,after they were beyond the tree line.Brooklyn says
"They are so going to end up together"
"You want to bet on it?"I ask
"Sure what you want to bet?"Brooklyn asks
"How about a kiss?"I offer,after a moment of thought she says"Okay"
