They arrived back at the classroom and both approached Blaise and Pansy.

"Finally, you're back! This little toad was getting on my nerves." Pansy groaned and gave Blaise a dirty look. He responded with a light chuckle as he took Draco to the side.

"So, 'Mione, how did it go?" Pansy asked.

"What go?"

"Apologising? Did he accept? Do I need to hex him?" They both laughed.

"No! It went surprisingly good, actually. It was kinda' weird..."

"Weird, how?" Pansy asked, her voice laced with concern.

"I don't know, he was somewhat nice to me? I felt a strange feeling of comfort around him, something I didn't expect. And the thing with the Amortentia test, he basically described me. He must've been just messing about, right?"

"I don't know, maybe. Maybe you're just looking too far into this. He might just be trying to get in your head."

"But why?" Hermione asked as Pansy shrugged.

"No idea." Pansy and Blaise had secretly had a conversation during the experiment earlier about something happening between Draco and Hermione. 'It's bound to happen. They have both been put as Head Boy and Girl. There is no way all of the conversations during rounds weren't going to make them fall in love.' They had said, 'Hermione is too academically smart to notice if Draco liked her, and Draco would be too stressed about his father's opinion to notice if she liked him back.' Pansy had explained to Blaise.

"Pansy?" Hermione snapped Pansy out of her thoughts.

"Sorry, I got distracted."

"Is everything good?"

"Oh, don't you worry. Everything is perfect. What about you, though?"

"No, this isn't about me. Are you absolutely sure nothing's wrong? It doesn't matter what it is, I'm here for you!"

"'Mione, I'm fine. Why are you so pushy? Are you sure you're okay?"

"Yes, I'm sure, Pans'"

"Good."

Meanwhile, with Blaise and Draco.

"So, how's the hangover?" Blaise teased.

"Shut it." Draco complained. He had honestly forgotten about it until Blaise brought it up. Blaise laughed.

"Either way, what's going on with the mudbl- Granger." Blaise corrected himself quickly, clearly used to his habits.

"What do you mean?" Draco avoided eye contact.

"Well, you come in here all," he mocked a big smile and rubbed the back of his head, "Happy and stuff. What's up with that?"

"It's nothing! I just caught her when she tripped."

"How so?"

"Just a quick arm round the waist thing, no big deal."

"Oh really?"

"Yes."

"Then tell me why Miss Parkinson seems to be teasing Granger over there." They both looked over to the two girls to see Hermione blushing majorly and Pansy laughing hysterically. Although neither of the boys had thought it, the girls were conversing about Draco. Hermione had told Pansy about the catch, which opened up a whole new world of possible teasing.

"Maybe she just did something embarrassing. I don't know, I don't care."

"Mhm, sure." The boys walked back over to the girls and had a couple jokes and conversations when all of a sudden they heard a loud silence fill the room, the loudest silence they had ever heard. Well, other than the war, but that doesn't count right now. They looked around to see Professor Mcgonagall looking at Professor Slughorn in shock, and quiet murmuring filled the room.

"Well, we can't have that. House unison is good, I suppose, but if they do, who knows for the young girls' safety? She's been through enough, Slughorn, we shouldn't pressure anything, even if it is fate."

The four looked at each other and shrugged. They then heard Slughorn speak after a moment of silence.

"Alright then. We give them the space but keep them in close proximity. They have the dorm, but invite 4 others of their choice. Everyone's happy."

"Hmm, I shall consider it. Just know, even if this is good for him, it may not be as good for her." Mcgonagall said before walking away with a dramatic effect. The room progressively got louder as it was before, and the four spoke again.

"What do you think that was about?" Draco asked.

"What did I tell you about asking questions about others' conversations? It's not," she slapped him gently on the arm, "Our," again, "Business!" She slapped him one final time, and the others laughed.

"Wow, Granger. You got Malfoy on a tight lead." Blaise smirked and looked at Draco as everyone but him smiled and even let out a soft giggle.

"Anyway guys, two more classes and then lunch! Hermione, are we still up for Hogsmeade with Ginny?"

"Of course!" Hermione smiled.

"How the hell are you gonna' get away with leaving?" Draco asked in almost amazement.

"You really think Professor Mcgonagall is gonna' say no to her top student, who's head girl, always finishes her homework early, defeated The Dark Lord and can give her a face like this?" Draco winced at the mention of Voldermort but softened after seeing Hermione give him a cute, pleading look. "Because she won't." Hermione went back to her regular tone before walking away with Pansy.

"Damn..." Draco whispered to himself.

"What was that, Mr Malfoy?" Blaise teased.

"Never mind. Let's get to Charms. We have Flitwick." Blaise groaned but left with Draco.

After a couple of lessons, lunchtime came around. Hermione and Ginnt met Pansy at the carriages to Hogsmeade and went on their way. On the journey, the spoke about all sorts of things.

"So, Ginny, how's it going with Potter?" Pansy asked with a smile.

"Pretty good, thanks. Theo?" Ginny mirrored her smile.

"Amazing. All we need to do is find Hermione a boyfriend!"

"Guys, I do not need a boyfriend. I'm too focused on my studies. Besides, no boys in our school are attractive or smart enough for me." She laughed, and her mind wondered to Draco. Draco has always been one step behind Hemione in academics, and he didn't look too bad either...

"Hermione? You good?" Pansy clicked a finger in Hermione's face, snapping her out of thought.

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine!" He reassured them.

"Nooo, you were thinking of ferret-boy!" Ginny accused.

"What, no, I wasn't?!" Hermione defended.

"Ferret boy?" Pansy asked, "Ohh! I get it now!"

"I wasn't thinking of Dra- Malfoy."

"First name basis?" Ginny smirked.

"It was an accident!"

"I don't think so!" Pansy teased.

"Whatever, guys." Hermione looked away. She knew everyone would flip out if she told someone what she had thought about him.
