"Granger." Malfoy nodded to her as she sat down.

She nodded back before blurting out, "I'm sorry for yesterday Draco, it was out of line, and I just wanted to make you feel better, but it wasn't my place to do that. I'm genuinely so sorry."

"Granger, it's fine. I've got too much of a hangover to deal with this."

"Hangover?"

"Don't snitch." He scowled.

"Wasn't planning on it. Anyway, I presume I'll be doing all of the work?"

"Why's that?"

"Whenever I worked with Harry and Ron, I had to. Why, do you want to?"

"I was planning on it." He snarled.

"Oh, alright then. I'll go get the things and bring them back here."

Hermione walks up to the cupboards and grabs some things. "Potionosing water, rose thorns, ashwinder eggs, peppermint..." she began to say to herself when Draco approached her and helped her carry some things.

"Here, let me take that." He took some ingredients from her hands as she grabbed more.

"Thanks." They began to walk over to their desk. She looked at him as they put everything down. "I'll go get the cauldron."

"Are you sure you can handle it?" he teased. She rolled her eyes and walked towards the cauldrons. As she tried to lift one, she realised how heavy they were. She only just managed to lift it and started walking over. Draco immediately helped her, "You got it, huh?" he smirked. Together, they began making the potion, Hermione slowly taking it over. As they finished, Hermione's hand shot up to show the teacher they had finished. Draco laughed at this as Professor Slughorn walked over.

"Hm, well done, you two! I see you are very good partners! Now, seeing as you are the first people done, why don't you show the class how it works?"

"Alright. Malfoy, you first."

Draco smelled the potion, "I smell old parchment, ink, and a Miss Dior perfume?" Hermione's eyes went wide as she looked at Pansy, who just smirked at her. "Granger, your turn."

"Alright," she smelled it, "I smell peppermint, new books, and a fresh suit?" Draco looked at Blaise, who also just smirked.

"Hm, interesting." Professor Slughorn began, "Anyway, everyone, continue with your potions. As for you two, clean this up and go get Professor McGonagall, please." Hermione nodded and quickly began cleaning up.

"I assume you don't need any help?" Draco smirked.

"No! Actually, can you help me lift the cauldron?" she said as she struggled.

"Of course." he lifted it with ease and put it away.

"Should we leave then?"

"Why?"

"For Professor Mcgonagall?"

"Oh, yeah, we should," he said as they left. They walked out of the classroom and meandered down the hallway. They wander the long winding hallways and began to speak awkwardly. "So, Granger...

"Yes?"

"What do you think Slughorn needs from Mcgonagall?"

"That's Professor Slughorn and Professor Mcgonagall to you. Besides, it's not our business."

"Calm down, mate."

"I'm not your 'mate', Malfoy. Save that talk for Zabini."

"Shut up, Granger. Still, why do you think?"

"I don't know! Maybe he's just trying to tell her how many house points need to be provided!" She snapped.

"Woah there, calm it."

"Never, tell me to 'calm it'." She glared and scowled.

He rolled his eyes as they arrived at Mcgonagall's office. Hermione knocked on the door gently. No answer. Draco knocked louder, and Mcgonagall answered. "You should've knocked louder." He teased Hermione. She nudged him and entered the Professors office.

"Hello, Miss Granger, how may I help you?" The woman said in her usual kind manor.

"Hi Professor Mcgonagall, sorry to bother you. Professor Slughorn has requested myself and Malfoy to come get you." Hermione explained.

"Alright then, inform him I'll be there soon."

Hermione smiled and nodded as she dragged Draco out.

"Why are you so formal to teachers?"

"They are Professors', they should be treated with respect." Hermione scowled.

"Whatever, nerd." She nudged him harshly in the ribs. "Ouch..." He rubbed his ribs. She suddenly tripped over her own feet. As she tensed up, preparing to fall, she was yet again caught by Malfoy. "We really need to stop doing this." He smirked.

"Shut up, Malfoy." She stroked the bottom of her robes. He just smirked and let her go. "Merlin. You've got me thinking what Professor Slughorn could want now!" She exclaimed in distress.

"I have that effect on people." He nudged her gently.

"Merlin, you're annoying." She smiled in disbelief. He didn't respond, he just looked at her smile. There was something contagious about it, her teeth on display and the soft redness of her cheeks. The faint giggle escaping her mouth as she looks down. It was all strange, what was he feeling? When he was with Astoria he never felt this? This sickening happiness. He'd never really had a girlfriend, to be fair. More just shagging partners. He looked at Hermione as a comfortable silence filled the room. Was he, comfortable with her?

She blocked her cheeks. No way, was she blushing for Malfoy? She couldn't, she wouldn't! She shouldn't... As the silence filled the air, she sighed. Not a sigh of upset or anger, a sigh of joy. A sigh that showed she was comfortable. Wait, no. No, she couldn't be comfortable with Draco Malfoy! He was, well, Draco Malfoy! The brattiest prat ever! No. She couldn't. Maybe she could? Was she comfortable with him?
