"𝑴𝑶𝑴!" Journey Yelled as she entered her home slamming the door behind her

"JoJo, what's wrong?" Her mother Angela asked concern laced in her voice as she raced to her daughter "I didn't get a cute boy's number" Journey grumbled before dramatically plopping down on their couch

"That's what you're screaming about?"

"Yes because he was so cute and sweet"Journey huffed gripping her hair in her hands "Aww I'm sorry he didn't give you his number" Angela chuckled sitting next to her daughter and giving her a side hug

"It's worse Mom I didn't ask" The teen groaned throwing her head back

"JoJo it okay if you see him again ask then" Angela laughed trying to calm her upset daughter "He was visiting the Matthews he lives out of state" Journey explained with a sigh "Yeah It's not looking good for you JoJo"

"Mom!"

"Just get the number from the Matthews problem solved," The Moore woman told Journey "You're right" Journey smiled she didn't know why she didn't think of that

"So how was your time at the Matthews?" Angela asked

While Angela didn't know the family she knew that they treated her daughter well she could always see the joy in her eyes when she came back from watching their child

"Oh, It was good Mr. Matthews's best friend is trying to get me an internship at his Job" Journey shared with a smile "That's good Jo and it'll look good on your College applications!" Angela added making the Teen bite her lip excitedly "I see you, girl"

To say Journey had a good relationship with her mother was an understatement she'd like to believe they were even closer than the Gilmore Girls. The only difference between them is Lorelai had a strained relationship with her mother and Angela had completely wiped her mother out as one and vowed to be better than she ever was.

"By the way Mrs.Matthews sent me home with to-go plates," Journey told her mom lifting up her bag that was on the couch next to her

"Okay get some plates and I'll turn it on Home Alone so we can celebrate Christmas Eve"
