"𝒀𝑬𝑺 𝑴𝑶𝑴 i'm being safe" Journey sighed over the phone. Journey had just left New York to travel to Philadelphia with Shawn to take pictures for his jobs websites. To say Angela Moore was stressed was an understatement.
She had talked to Journey's boss about the person she was traveling with but the thought that Journey was traveling with anyone but her mother for the first time kept gnawing at her.
"Make sure you keep me updated Journey and if you want to go home say the word"Angela rambled through the phone. Journey thought this was funny considering this was only a day trip.
"Mom I'm okay" Journey spoke with a reassuring tone. "Ok" Angela shook her head unbeknownst to her teen daughter
"I love you mom" The Moore teen smiled
"I love you More JoJo"Angela Smiled before hanging up the phone.
With one more look down at her phone Journey smiled then stuffed it in her back pocket. "Overbearing mother?" Shawn jokes as he walks over to the teen.
"Maybe...It's my first time not traveling with her," Journey explained, getting a soft nod in return. "Well lucky for her I plan to bring you home in one piece" The older man promised getting a soft smile from Journey in return.
"Oh and nice jacket by the way I used to have one of these in the 90s" Shawn complimented and pointed to the Bulky leather jacket the girl wore. "Oh thanks! My mom got it for me for christmas" Journey explained.
After the adult and Teenagers conversation Shawn drove them to a spot filled with pretty yellow lights with vines wrapping around the post. Journey through the spot was pretty. It looked peaceful. The adult and teen pair took turns taking pictures of the great scenery. The two even took pictures of each other in the field.
"Hey Shawn, I have a question" Journey spoke up as she sat next to Shawn on the gazebo he resided on. "What's on your mind kid?" He asked, turning to look at the girl.
"Remember on Christmas eve how you said I looked familiar...What did you mean by that?" Journey asked
With an embarrassed chuckle Shawn spoke "It's those eyes" Shawn pointed to the girls brown eyes "They remind me of my ex's"
