Ch 17

(Chason's Pov)

After spending a few days mourning Jangjun it's time for us to leave again and I silently walk by myself in the back feeling sad and depressed as well as lonely as I walk alone. After a while of walking Sungyoon moves to my side he intertwining our fingers together. "Jagi I know you're sad and upset but think of the baby. And Jangjun wouldn't want you stressing about him." I frown then sigh and mumble out a little. "You're right. Let's focus on getting this cure discovered." He smiles and nods in approval as we start to head to the outskirts of the city that is supposed to have the cure. As we start to head into the city I get this weird feeling like we're being watched I looking around warily and grab onto Sungyoon's hand for comfort he giving it a little reassuring squeeze. After a long while of walking we reach a mansion like house I reading through the paperwork curiously. "This should be it." Everyone else looks relieved but anxious as I press a button the door then opening with the sound of the lock unlocking. I push the door open and head inside Sungyoon staying close on my heels as we make our way through the halls until we reach a research station there two older men giving us kind smiles one of the men an alpha and the other one an omega. "Hello I'm doctor Kim and this is my mate Levi. You can just call him doctor Levi. I'm guessing you all ore here for the new breakthrough cure?" We all nod and doctor Levi gives us all a motherly smile. "We can discuss the cure later on I'm sure you all are tired and hungry." He then suddenly turns to look behind doctor Kim he calling out softly. "Rian sweetie show them to the bunker please." A small dark haired male omega with blue eyes seems to walk out of the shadows he saying in a soft firm voice. "This way." We quickly follow him down a large flight of steps and around a corner showing a large space filled with multiple rooms with beds. Looking around curiously I spot a figure laying on one of the beds in a room my eyes widening in disbelief and relief feeling me when I see the familiar alpha. "Jangjun!" The alpha slowly climbs off the bed and I rush over tackling him into a hug. "Thank goodness you're okay! You had us all worried sick!" I feel him gently pet my head affectionately. "It's alright I'm fine." I pull away from him looking curious. "How'd you manage to escape? Sungyoon said that the group was massive." He goes to say something when the younger omega speaks up making his way through the crowd and over to Jangjun. "I saw he was in trouble and got him through the massive horde by using some secret passageways that lead to the lab." I eye the omega curiously as he seems to move even closer into Jangjun while I feel Sungyoon move to my side he wrapping an arm around my waist. "Well thank you for saving him." He shrugs before heading past us saying simply. "Dinner should be ready in an hour. There's a bathroom in each room so you're free to get a shower and clean up. There's different clothes in the closets for you guys to wear and there's multiple different sizes so help yourselves." We all nod thanking him and he seems to look over at Jangjun for a moment before he leaves I immediately raising an eyebrow looking over at the alpha. "What's that about?" He sighs a little before murmuring softly. "He's my mate." My eyes widen slightly in shock before I smile happily. "That's great Jangjun! Congratulations!" He shrugs and I notice that he doesn't seem too happy about it. "What? Why aren't you jumping for joy?" He shrugs before saying softly. "I don't know I guess I just wasn't expecting this and am kind of in shock and denial." I immediately frown. "Why are you in denial? He's cute and seems nice." Jangjun sighs saying softly. "I'm just still trying to take this all in. Now go get clean and rest you guys." I pout and go to lead Sungyoon off but he gently stops me. "You go ahead and go I wanna talk to Jangjun in private." I give a little nod then head off to get a shower.
