Sydney Summers had been best friends with Cole Walter since she was born, there mothers did everything together which meant so did Sydney and Cole. The older they got the more time they spent together, if Sydney wasn't at the Walter's, Cole was at her house and if she wasn't at home she'd be with the Walters, everybody questioned how and why they were best friends they had nothing in common, Cole played football and Sydney hated sports, horse riding obviously didn't count, Sydney loved to paint and draw and Cole thought it boring but it didn't matter that they had nothing in common, they were best friends and didn't care what anyone else thought.

*flashback to before summer*

They had both decide to bunk off the last day of school and spend it by the watering hole & with the horses, they drank cheap beer that Cole got with his fake id from a gas station, sunbathed in the sun, swam in the water, rode the horses around the fields. This was there favourite thing to do, they were free too do what they wanted with no adults around, no one from school whispering whether they were hooking up and how they didn't get why they were friends, no annoying siblings, just them.

The sun was setting when they returned back to the stables, they decided to chill out in the loft and drink the last remaining beers. It started getting dark and cold, they both decided to stay in the stables because if their parents found out they were drunk they'd be grounded and wouldn't be able to see each other, so that definitely wasn't an option as they were attached at the hip. They snuggled up on the couch, which was one of Cole's favourite things to do with Sydney, she made him feel warm and at home, but he would never let her know, they were laughing and telling jokes, Cole was watching as Sydney laughed about something Sage had done last night at dinner when he suddenly just kissed her, she deepened the kiss, putting her hands through his hair, while his hands roamed over her body pulling her into his lap and ...

I've been obsessed with the show since I watched and I knew I had a write a fanfic & try my best too complete it :/
I'm British so having to write couch instead of sofa felt so wrong, I'll try my best to make things grammatically correct but if you spot anything let me know :)
