A seven-string guiter.
You'll pick it up and play it sometimes.

You strum it once, maybe twice.
Then drop it and claim you
5 "need practice."

You're so quick to give up on it.
You say you're no good.
Well, you never will be
unless you play
10 but that's too much effort.

"Oh, Seven-String Guitar," you say,
"I love you, but I will never learn to play."

Each string gets strum.
You play it different each time.

15 When you'd press too hard
On the thin, steel strings,
Your fingers would begin to bleed,
and you'd blame it on your guitar.

Just because you couldn't be gentle
20 with your lovely seven-string guitar?

Eventually, it was done.
The neck had broke,
The strings had snapped.

You put too much pressure
25 on your once lovely seven-string guitar.

It wasn't to your standards.
It's strings were "too sensitive."
It was "hard to manage."
It "didn't sound right."

30 You wanted it to play itself.
to be perfectly tuned.
So you had it repaired.
You wanted it to be perfect.
So you added onto it.

35 Eight-String Guitar.
