NO ART OR THE STORYLINE OF RESIDENT EVIL BELONGS TO ME, ONLY THE CREATION OF GRACE AND HER PARENTS.

"Yes mom, I know. I'm halfway there, you worry too much. If I get tired, I'll find a motel or something." I groaned as I struggled to keep my eyes on the road, I had left 6 hours ago and yet I'm still 4 hours out. 'Why the hell am I so tired, it's only 6:30.'

"I know but you know I'm worried about you. You couldn't sleep last night, and you left so early. I know you're excited about your new job... But you need to make sure you're taking care of yourself. You just left home and yet I'm already scolding you for being reckless, you can't drive all day and night. Just promise me you'll stop at a hotel tonight, please." I shook my head grinning to myself.

"I will, there's a small town in 20 miles, I promise I'll stop there for the night. I'm gonna go now okay, I love you."

"I love you too honey, let your father and I know when you get there." Hanging up shortly after agreeing to my mom's request I let out another yawn and continued staring at the dimming road. It must've been close to 7.

"Shit, this hotel can't come sooner. I should've stopped sooner. I'm almost out of gas too, dammit." Sighing to myself I pressed on the gas pedal, speeding up to get to my destination faster. 'Hopefully there's no sheriffs out, that wouldn't look great on my record.'

The motel finally came into view as I entered the town. It was absolutely tiny, and the motel looked borderline deserted, but it would have to do. "Finally." I groaned and shoved my vehicle into park. I stumbled out of the car, my legs tense and sore after driving for so long. Popping open the trunk I grabbed one of my suitcases and headed inside. There was only one person at the desk, and much to my surprise the motel wasn't as gross as it looked from the outside. 'Must've renovated the interior first.'

"Hi there, how may I help you?" The lady asked sweetly.

"I'd like a single-bed room if you have one available." My voice came out more exhausted than I thought it would. 'Damn I didn't realize how tired I was until now.'

"Of course, it looks like we have a queen bed available. That'll be $98, cash or.." A harsh ringing of a phone interrupted the lady at the desk. 'Oh, that's my phone.'

"I'm so sorry one second please." I pulled my phone out, silently hoping that it wasn't my mother calling again. But much to my surprise it was my Lieutenant, Marvin Branagh. I answered the call and set it against my ear.

"Lieutenant is everything oka."

"Specter. You aren't in Raccoon right now, are you?" There was a worried tone to Marvin's voice, but with how tired I currently was I didn't analyze it too much.
