We haven't found much since we started exploring the station. After the dark room we had went upstairs, only to be met with busted pipe that was blowing steam. I had been trying to get the lock open on one of the lockers while Leon was figuring out the portable safe that we had found.
"FUCKING FINALLY." I shouted once I got the lock to open. Leon had laughed a good 2 minutes at least, which had let up some of the tension that had built up throughout the day. "Oh, shut up with your giggles, you still have that safe to open." I rolled my eyes as I smiled at his laugh, it was too adorable not to.
"Already did." Leon held up the safe and showed that it was open. "You're not going to believe what was inside either." I raised a brow, and he held up a key cap that went to the safety deposit room.
"Pffft, all that time just for a keycap that we don't even need." I sighed and Leon shrugged his shoulders.
"Seeing you getting mad over trying to get the lock open was pretty cute so, I'm not going to complain. What was in there anyways?"
"Just some shotgun shells. I'm sure it'll be useful once we get our hands on the gun." I stashed them in my pocket for now. Now that the locked locker was open, I went to open the other one, which to my surprise wasn't locked.
"Oh SHIT!" I jumped back nearly knocking over Leon as a dead body fell out of the locker. Leon had his arm secured around my waist and his gun pointed at the body, waiting to see if it would move. 'My heart's pounding, and I can't tell if it's from the scare or from Leon's firm grasp around my waist.' Once Leon deemed it was safe, he slowly let go of my waist. Much to my dismay.
"Let's get going, we should head upstairs, that should get us to the library at least."

There wasn't much upstairs, other than another locker which we didn't want to waste the time on and some ammo. We had found the Spade key on a desk, which most likely opened some doors that we needed to get into. The problem came when we passed by a window and something huge crawled across.
"What the hell was that?!" I whispered just in case it made its way inside.
"I don't know but let's keep quiet and try to get past it. I don't think it's made its way in." I nodded in response and stuck close to Leon as we continued on our path. The crashing of glass could be heard just down the hall.
"Looks like it's in here with us." I whispered. Leon only nodded as he put a finger up to his lips. Leon went to go through the first door we saw, but I had seen a note towards the end of the hall placed on one of the stacked boxes.
"What?" Leon whispered. I nudged my head to the right and he gave me a questioning 'the hell are you talking about' look. Rolling my eyes I walked towards where I saw the note only to have Leon grab my hand.
"There's a note." I mouthed to Leon; only then did he release my hand from his firm yet gentle grasp. Once I grabbed it I was next to Leon instantly, I didn't like that this think could sneak up on us at any minute.
*To any survivors*
Consider this a gift for anyone still unfortunate to be alive.
'Wow great opening statement' I thought to myself
Keep your eyes peeled for those creepy fucks that look like they were skinned alive. "Lickers," we call 'em. They're blind as bats, but their hearing more than makes up for that.
