Victoria's P.O.V

After Benjamin's weird introduction he escorted me to my living area, taking me through several corridors before reaching my headquarters. There was an awkward silence in the air as we walked. Ben's stare was the worst part of it. It made things even more awkward and not because I was still in my pajamas, even though that was a downside to walking with such a cute guy, but because I had a sinister feeling when I was near him. I felt like I was supposed to be calm, but the sinister feeling was just there at the back of mind, almost like a warning. I moved over a little putting some more room between us. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion but he didn't say anything.

We finally reached a door which he said would be my room. It was a nice place with two bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and a tiny kitchenette. It looked incredibly comfortable and at that moment I realized just how tired I was. I stared at the couch anticipating whether or not to lay down right then and there when I heard Ben's distant voice.

"Victoria, can you come in here please?" Ben asked. I looked around and finally found his brown- haired head poking out of the bathroom.

"Why...?" I asked suspiciously.

"Because we need to clean and bandage those wounds, unless you would like to go see your sister with your hands all covered in blood. I don't think you want her all worried, do you?"

"No, of course not." I said looking down at my battered, bloody wrists. I had completely forgotten about that little incident.

I was about to take off my shoes when I realized I didn't have any, so I slowly walked across the hallway leading to the bathroom, digging my toes into the soft, plush carpet.

"Sit down, Vic." Ben said pointing to the toilet.

I sat down as he grabbed some antiseptic wipes from the first aid kit he had found. Ben kneeled down in front of me, taking my hands into his and gently cleaning my wounds. I just sat still staring at how such a tough looking guy could be so gentle. I flinched as my hand began to sting.

"Sorry." Ben mummbled as he reached inside the kit for some bandages. He quickly put the bandages on and got up to leave. Before he could go far I grabbed his arm.

"Thank you, Benjamin." I told him smiling warmly.

"You welcome, Victoria." He said smiling back except the smile did not reach his eyes. Before I could say anything else he turned around and left.

After Ben left, I decided this would be a good opportunity to look around and have a nice, warm bath. I started off with the bedrooms. They were both quite similar. One room, which I assumed was the master bedroom, was bigger than the other room. That was the only difference. Both rooms contained a double sized bed with a beige comforter, a cedar wood dresser, a regular sized closet, a night table by the bed and a small television.

After I had chosen the bigger bedroom, I examined the kitchenette. It was a cute little area with a miniature built-in stove, a refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave on the granite counters. The cupboards were painted black contrasting with the white refrigerator and dishwasher. As I walked back to the masters bedroom, I glanced over at the living room, just taking in the comfy little place; the beige leather couches covered with fluffy pillows, a small, brown coffee table in the middle and the 42" flat screen television built into the wall. Underneath the television was a shelf which contained a DVD player and Telus satellite box.

After my tour of my living space, I changed out of the pajamas I was still wearing, putting them in a laundry basket I had found in the closet. Then I went into the bathroom, filling the tub with steaming hot water and pouring some bath soap into the tub as the water ran. I sighed as I sank into the steaming bath.

Just as I was enjoying my warm bath, I heard a loud knock on the door.

"Coming!" I yelled, disappoinment clear in my face, but, hopefully, not in my voice. I quickly found a towel to dry myself with and put a bath robe around my damp body. As I ran to the door there was another loud knock.

"What?!" I said as I opened the door more than a little annoyed.

"Sorry, I didn't realize I was interrupting something." Ben said blushing and staring at my robe. I hugged my arms tighter around my body. "Anyways, we need to go see your sister now so her bodyguard and I can explain everything to you guys."

"Okay. I'll be quick. Just have a seat here and I'll be done in a second." I let him in and ran into my room to get ready. It felt weird to already be calling that place my own when I didn't even know what I was doing there.

"Okay let's go." I came out wearing some silver shorts and white tank top I had found in the drawers. Ben got up and we walked out the door together. We walked a few doors down until we reached a white door similar to my own.

"Why did you leave my room so suddenly today?" I blurted out before he had a chance to knock. I figured that if I did not ask him now, I would never get the chance to again. "You looked upset."

"Did I? Well it's nothing. I'm fine. I was just thinking about something. Don't worry about it."
Ben explained. His explanation seemed sincere, but I could not bring myself to believe him. I decided to leave it alone. I had a feeling we would be spending a lot of time together, which would give him tons of opportunity to tell me what was really going on. I turned around and swung open the door. What I saw brought a smile to my lips. My sister seemed to be sharing a moment with a very cute guy. He looked about 16 or 17.

She turned around just in time to see the smile appearing on my face, but instead of questioning me as she usually does, she ran into my arms as I ran I into hers. It was as if we had not seen each other for years. She did, however, ask me what happened to my wrists and I told her that I would explain everything later.

After a short discussion with Ben and her bodyguard who I soon learned was named Chris, Sarah and I decided to 'trust' Chris and Ben. If we didn't trust them, we would never know what we were called to that place for and we also didn't really have a choice. We were in the middle of nowhere with no chance of getting home anytime soon.

"Okay so where do I begin?" Said Ben beginning the explanation.
