Called Upon

Chapter 30

     After their remarkable accomplishment, the trio gathered at the Chamber of Order, where all the elders and gods were present. The atmosphere was filled with applause and open arms as they stood in front of the elders. Chaos, one of the elders, commended Hiatus for his deeds. Despite being banished and losing his powers and mortality, he still vowed to hinder Sage from achieving victory when he learned of his plan to release the dark forces. With this, his rightful place and mortality were restored to him. His former title as the god of illusion was forever engraved in stone.

Following this, a sister of Fate rewarded the elderly man with victory. They assigned him a significant responsibility - to succeed his father's position. Although he could refuse, he held on to it after considering the potential consequences it could bring to the universe. Contrary to what one might expect, his given task did not correspond to his age. A mortal with a weak spirit would deny it, but his successful completion belied his age. He drew strength, wisdom, and courage to navigate his path through the test.

As a result of his accomplishment, he was granted immortality and power of balance by the elders. He swore to use his abilities for the betterment of the universe.

Lastly was Sage, the redeemer. Canon informed him that bearing darkness inside oneself for over half a century could be incredibly frustrating for anyone. Despite all his inner turmoils, in the end, he showed he was indeed a redeemer by redeeming himself.

Applause echoed throughout the atmosphere as the elders concluded their remarks. Hiatus was once the god of illusion; it no longer mattered to him that he wasn't appointed to govern one of the seven realms anymore. Aion, Equilibrium's son, succeeded his father by becoming the god of balance to rule over the seventh realm.

Sage once again joined the elders in the celestials to govern the entire cosmos, restoring balance and harmony to the universe once more.

In the end, Apollo, the god of music and poetry, stood up and concluded the gathering with a last speech:

In the realm of life, where challenges reside,
Where trials and tribulations often collide,
We are called upon to face the unknown,
With hearts of courage, steadfast, and unwaveringly shown.

For life's path is adorned with hurdles and strife,
Testing our strength, character, and inner life,
But in the face of adversity, we shall not sway,
With each trial, we gather wisdom along the way.

Like a ship on stormy seas, we stay our course,
Navigating through challenges with unyielding force,
For within our spirits, a resilience ignites,
A fire, burning bright, guiding us through the darkest nights.

Though the road may seem treacherous and steep,
Our determination rises, our souls run deep,
With every setback, we gather strength and grace,
Knowing that within us, we hold the power to embrace.

We shall not falter in the face of despair,
For we are warriors, with hearts strong and rare,
In every trial lies a lesson to learn,
An opportunity for our souls to yearn.

Through the tears and laughter, we shall persist,
For in life's tapestry, resilience is kissed,
We move forward, with steady steps, one by one,
Facing the challenges, until the battle is won.

So let us rise, with unwavering resolve,
Embracing the trials that life may evolve,
For within our spirits, a flame shall burn,
Guiding us through every twist and turn.

And as we journey on, steadfast and true,
Let us remember that the trials we pass through,
Shape us, mold us into creatures strong and wise,
For it is in the face of adversity that our strength truly lies.
