Mina's POV
"Great job, my dear." Dad said and I ran towards him to give the gun back.
"That was easy..." I said while looking at the dead bodies lying down on the floor.
"Next time, we'll use your knife." Mom said.
I smiled as I was excited to use my precious knife which was given to me since I was 5 years old.
"Mina... In a few years, you'll be our family's boss, don't let us down." Dad said.
"But Dad, I'm still 8 years old... How can I make everyone follow me?" I asked curiously.
"It's your clan... They will follow you if they respect you... So, if I were you... I'll start gaining their trust and making everyone follow you in the future is your mission for now..." Dad said.
I just nodded as I was still confused by his words.
"Mr. and Mrs. Myoi, Mr. Son is here." Dad's butler said.
"Let him in..." Dad said.
"Sweetie, why don't you change your clothes and eat your dinner inside, we'll follow afterwards." Mom said.
I nodded and removed my gloves and gave them to mom.
On my way back to the living room, I bumped onto a tall man which I think is Mr. Son because Dad called him behind me.
I didn't say sorry because I'm told not to say anything if someone bumped onto me, not until they were my parents.
"You were taught well..." He said.
I didn't utter a word and just looked at him coldly which he just laughed at.
He then went to my parents and I ignored what just happened.
After I changed my clothes, I went to the dining room where my dinner was already prepared and my parents also entered together with the man I bumped onto earlier.
"Oh... This kid is really different." The man said while looking at me doing my routines before eating.
I placed my napkin on my lap, poured myself a glass of water, a glass of milk, and placed my utensils at my right side rather than having my fork on my left and my spoon on my right.
"Mina... This is Mr. Son... He's part of our clan... Practically my brother." Dad said.
I looked at them reading the atmosphere if I should greet him and when they stayed silent, I gave my greetings.
"Good evening, Mr. Son... Sorry about earlier." I bowed at him.
"Don't worry about it..." He said.
I started eating and listened to their conversation about having a possible war between their enemies and it will happen in a few years because both families are still making their clans stronger.
In the mafia world, Myoi family is always the mediator to other clans' feuds, and we are seen as one of the strongest families but are very calm.
But this time, our family is being attacked because of an unclear reason.
"Dad, Mom... I'm going ahead..." I said as I stood up in between them.
"Okay, go take some rest, we'll talk tomorrow." Dad said and kissed my forehead.
I nodded and mom also kissed my forehead.
"Mina..." Mr. Son said before I took a step away from my parents.
"Mr. Son..." I said.
He chuckled and looked at Dad who also chuckled.
"You raised a tough one..." Mr. Son told my Dad.
"Of course... She's my next boss." Dad said.
Mr. Son shook his head and looked back at me.
"Mina... Don't you go to school?" He asked.
"I'm homeschooled." I answered.
"Are you willing to get out and attend a normal school?" He asked.
"If Dad and Mom agree." I said.
"You decide." Mom said.
"I'm okay with anything." I said.
"Would you want to be my eyes and ears for my daughter?" Mr. Son asked.
"Sounds like a great mission." I smiled and he laughed again.
"Okay... We'll talk about it some other time... I'll come back here in a few days." He said.
I nodded and bowed at them to say my goodbyes and went back into my room.
Another happy day for me, I helped Dad clean up his enemies and I have one easy mission and another unsure mission because I don't think I can handle our clan.
I lit up my scented candle next to my bed and lay down making me fall asleep after a few minutes.
