Chapter 19 (Escape)

Mina's POV

I felt a stinging pain on my shoulder and when I looked over, I saw blood on my shirt and a hole in it.

"Sharon..." Chaeyoung said and put pressure on my wound.

"I'm fine, let's go..." I said and pulled her out of the room after I killed all the men surrounding us.

When we were finally at the ground floor, we found Sana entering and she called us to follow her.

How did she know we were here?

"Not so fast, Myoi." Mrs. Minatozaki said.

I turned around and shot her leg making her stumble down.

I pulled Chaeyoung to run and I heard another gunshot and felt pain in my leg.

"I'll find you!" Mrs. Minatozaki shouted and we finally escaped with the help of Sana.

"Get in." Sana said and opened the door for us.

We went in the car and drove away.

"Tzuyu?" I said as I saw Tzuyu driving the car.

"We'll talk later..." Tzuyu said.

"Do you have a first aid kit there? She's shot." Chaeyoung said.

"There's nothing here..." Sana said.

"I'm fine... Just drive fast." I said and breathed heavily as I felt the pain on my shoulder and leg.

Just a few minutes later, we arrived at the house and they helped me lie down on the couch.

"Don't move..." Chaeyoung said and tried to get the bullet out of my wounds.

I felt so much pain that I almost pushed her away.

"Step away... Give me a handkerchief." I said.

Nayeon gave me hers and I put it in my mouth.

I took my knife from my gears on my leg and stabbed the wound.

"Mina! What are you doing?!" Tzuyu said worriedly.

I twisted the knife and the bullet popped out.

I did the same to the other wound and they were too stunned to speak.

"Give me the alcohol." I said.

Sana gave me the alcohol and bandage and I treated myself trying not to scream whenever I poured alcohol on my wounds.

Once I was done and the bleeding was done, I was back to my normal self and I rested for a while.

"Why are you here?" Chaeyoung asked Sana.

"I live here." Sana said.

"All of us are in danger here... We should leave before sunrise." I said.

"Why would I listen to you, Mina?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Because I saved you from death." I said.

"I didn't ask you to save me." She said.

"Yes, your parents did." I said.

"You're a psychopath!" She shouted at me.

"I know... Since that day I have seen our parents die in front of my eyes!" I shouted back.

She was taken back by what I said and was surprised by my words.

"They didn't get in a car accident, Chaeyoung... They were shot... Right in front of my eyes... And that very moment, I promised your father to take care of you! I risked my life to save you all the time! Not only because I promised your parents, but because I love you!" I lashed out.

"Mina..." Sana said.

"Sana's father killed our parents... Because he has a debt to our families, they gave us Sana to pay for their debts, I was going to get married with Sana, but they killed our parents..." I cried.

Everyone went silent and just looked at me letting out my hidden emotions for the past months.

"I was going to kill Sana... But she begged me to spare her life... I did... But she needs to kill her father, which she did... She had nothing... So I let her stay with me... That's how we became like sisters..." I said as I looked at Tzuyu.

Tzuyu looked at Sana who was also tearing up.

"Your father asked me to take care of you, Chaeyoung... And I did... I promised myself to keep you alive until my last breath... But I fell for you... It made me more eager to keep you safe..." I said.

"If you don't appreciate everything I did... Then I will keep my promise to your father..." I said and left them.

I went into my room to rest and I could hear murmurs from the living room.
