Chaeyoung's POV
Mom and Dad didn't come home last night, and I am so worried already.
The moment I woke up, my father's lawyer called me and I was shaken by the news he just told me.
"I'm sorry, your parents are gone... We'll take you to them." The lawyer said.
I dropped my phone and cried so hard alone in my room.
How can I live without them? I just turned adult a few weeks ago, and I can't do everything on my own.
Tzuyu called me a couple of times, but I can't talk to anyone now.
In the afternoon, I heard Tzuyu's voice echoing from downstairs and when she knocked on my door, I finally got the strength to open the door revealing the worried friends I have.
"What happened?" Dahyun asked.
"Mom and Dad are gone..." I broke down again and they immediately hugged me tight.
When I finally calmed down, they made me eat something and helped me go back to bed.
"Take a nap... We'll just be here..." Dahyun said.
I hugged my pillow tight and fell asleep afterwards.
The next morning, Tzuyu and Dahyun are still next to me and they are still sleeping and I decided to go downstairs.
I saw an envelope on the table and I read all of the businesses that my parents own.
The last page was Dad's last letter for me.
"Chaeyoung, sweetheart, I don't know how or when you will read this, but if you read this, I'm sure I'm already gone and can't be next to you anymore. I'm sorry for breaking my promise of growing old together, but I want to say that I love you so much. I made a lot of mistakes, and you'll know them when the time comes. I have people looking over you even when I'm gone and I promise to keep you safe until your last breath. When you know the whole truth, I hope you can forgive me and your mom, especially Mina... I love you, Chaeyoung." I read Dad's last letter.
I broke down just by reading his short letter and I felt a pair of arms hugging me.
"It's okay, Chaeyoung." I heard Tzuyu.
