Chapter 3: New Possibilities

"What the hell..." Rimuru muttered to himself as he looked around at the devastation and ruble, which was where he once settled himself in to rest.

A small flashback after Rimuru said yes to his new evolution. He went into deep energy saving mode for 3 days and during those 3 days, a lot has happened.

First off, a few of his skills, such as 《Gluttonous King, Beelzebub》, and Rafael, have merged along with his new skill, who was just Veldora in general, and turned into 《Azathoth, God of the Void》. Not to mention several new skills that Rimuru can't even remember the names of.

Not only that, but during the time when Rimuru was resting, his evolution caused his aura to grow 10x more of what it was when he was only an awakened demon lord (even though he hasn't made his existence as demon lord known yet). The sudden growth of his aura and mana caused destruction in the part of the cave he rested at. Everything within 7 feet of Rimuru's space was reduced to nothing but ruble.

Rimuru cringed at the damage as he turned back to his human form. He managed to have grown 6 centimeters from whatever height he was before and is now at a height of 145 cm. That's some good news!

"I should probably learn how to hide my aura, huh... and probably learn how to control my new skills too..." Rimuru mumbled to himself.

《Attention: That is preferred, master. Master should also move away from this area. I sense some humans approaching.》

Humans... ah! Those must be the Adventurers!

Rimuru thought to himself. Though he did miss Kaval and his party, he preferred if he hadn't met them yet. Since he still can't control his aura, they might sense him and attack him!

《Attention: The humans or any normal creature can not approach master due to the fact that master Rimuru's aura, if unconsealed, has the power to kill anyone who is not strong enough to withstand it. Only individuals who can withstand it: Veldora Tempest, primordial demons, demon lords, and gods.》

Rimuru heard Rafael report in his head. Well, this might be a problem...

"So you're telling me that I need to learn how to conceal my aura before I accidentally kill someone?" Rimuru asked as he silently made his way out of the prison that once held Veldora.

《Correct. I shall assist in helping master Rimuru hide his aura. Would you like to conceal your aura? [YES/NO]?》

Rimuru agreed, and Rafael immediately went to work. While Rafael was figuring that out, Rimuru decided to explore the cave. He spent the next few minutes consuming the hipokte grass and demon crystals before Rafael concealed his aura. Unfortunately, Rafael was only able to conceal 90% of his aura, but Rimuru didn't mind. He was going to stick out like a sore thumb anyway.

Rimuru spent almost 3 weeks in that cave (mostly because he was lost)  before he decided to follow the adventurers out of the cave in his slime form. Rimuru waited until the adventurers were out of sight before he turned back into his human form and lay on the grass.

"Finally out of that cave!" Rimuru shouted in glee as he rolled around on the grass. He was really getting sick of that cave.

《Master, I suggest you go find that goblin village.》 Rafael reminded the slime.

"Right! Thank you, Rafael!" Rafael seemed to have purred at the praise as Rimuru reverted into his slime form and looked for the goblins.

"S-stop..! Who are you..?!" A petrified looking goblin said as he pointed his dull sword toward Rimuru. The slime wasn't fazed since this also happened the first time he met the goblins. The goblin in front of him seemed to be Rigur. Behind him was some of the soon to be goblin riders. One of them was Gobta.
