3rd Pov

Yumeko had explained to Y/n Black Jack from the beginning again. He understood that in this game, the cards he gets have to add up to 21, without passing. Each player can only leave 1 card covered, the rest uncovered, once all players have finished their turn its the dealers turns, who will play till where they want uncovering all their cards. The one closer to 21 wins, in case of a draw, the dealer wins, and the dealer is always forced to ask for a card if his/her cards sum up to 16 or less. "A" card value is decided by the player. It can be either 1 or 11. They have played some rounds for him to get used to the game again. He was starting to understand strategies, chances of failing, or reaching 21. It was a mathematic and luck game. Yumeko didn't seem to him like the type of people to cheat on games, but he couldn't help but wonder how people would cheat in this kind of game. Yumeko thought they had already played enough rounds of practice. She couldn't wait for betting something risky, even if it's just questions.

Yumeko: Do you feel ready enough to risk your secrets?

To her surprise, Y/n didn't denny. On the contrary, he answered in a defiant tone.

Y/n: And do you feel ready enough to lose yours?

Yumeko: ~Oh Y/n-san, I didn't expect this answer. It will only make it more interesting. Let's flip a coin to see who will be the dealer and let's get started.

Y/n: No need, as they say, ladies first. Let's put it this way, let's play 5 rounds, each round. It's a question the winner can do. We change the dealer each round since in case of draw they have the advantage, you will have it 3 times, me 2.

Yumeko: Okay. Y/n-san, let's start now, I got excited.

Without waiting any longer, Yumeko dealt 2 cards, 1 to Y/n and 1 to herself. Y/n looked at his card. A 7. He decides to leave it covered.

Y/n: One card, uncovered, please.

Yumeko gives him a card, a 4. 11 in total, he has to get as close to 21 as possible without going over, a 10 or figure (whose value counts as 10) would be ideal. There are 3 cards on the table, 2 are his and 1 of Yumeko. The probability of a 10 is low. The probability of a 10 or a figure is not bad. If Yumeko has a 10 or a figure, there are 9 cards left with that value, 9/49, so let's see what luck has in store for him.

Y/n: Another card, uncovered, please.

She gives him another card, an 8. Yumeko only sees 4 and 8. She knows for sure that he has at least 12. Y/n would need a 2 or less. Assuming Yumeko has 1 of these cards in her covered card, that leaves 11 out of 48 total cards that would be good for him. That's a 16% chance. He thought that it's low to risk and it's only the first round, so he decides not to risk more, as the dealer is obliged to keep drawing cards if she has 16 or less, having 19 he can trust Yumeko to take a chance, risk and stay at 17 or 18.

Y/n: I don't want any more cards. Your turn.

Yumeko: Let's see what I have.

Yumeko flipped her card over. It was a 2. It was not high, but it would give her more chances. She takes the next card of the deck, a figure. In total, she already has 12, the same as the value of the undercovered cards from Y/n. She takes another card, a 5. Exactly 17.

Y/n: Umm, 17, enough for her to stay still. Without passing, she can still receive A, 2, 3, and 4. Knowing there's just one 2 and one 4 in the table, then she has 14 cards useful she can pull, and on the deck, there are 46 left. A 30% chances of drawing something without passing.

Yumeko: Y/n-san, what is it what you have? Above? Lower? Let's see, shall I take another? Or pass? I have more chances of passing 21 if I take a card than of getting close, don't I? Then your mind tells you I should pass, right? But where is the fun without any risk?
