Chapter Two : The Bonfire

Gally took the new one into the pit following his escape attempt, which ended rather badly. Alby was doing the visit to the greenie.

Eli walked towards the farm to bury the pig, which greatly disgusted her. She was pouting while walking.

"Hey ! Eli." Someone shouted. Eli turned around to see who was calling her. It was Newt, the Second-in-command.

He's a good friend of her, she felt safe when she was with him. Newt has a good heart, he was the only who helped Eli when she came out the Box.

"Alby is calling for you over the tower" he gently said to her.

"For what ?" She asked in return.

"Yeah, well Alby have something to do so I think he needs you to show to the greenie the hammock and get to know each other." He said with his british accent and his bloody smile which you couldn't resist it.

"Alright, alright. I can do that. I can do anything actually right now as long as I don't have to bury the pig." Newt laughed softly.

"Alright, Shanket. Alby is waiting for you under the tower."

Eli walked to the tower, she saw Alby and the greenie at the top of it. She had the greenie's hammock and some stuff.

"Alby !" She shouted.

The two guys looked at the ground and saw Eli waving at them. They both went downstairs.

"Greenie, I present you Eli. The only girl here." Alby said to the new one.

"Nice to meet you, it was a great fall you did." She friendly teased him a bit.

Alby laughed quietly.

"You know what to do, Shanket. I let you both."
He says before leaving two of them.

They were walking to the hammocks quietly, it was an awkward silence. Eli decides to talk and kill the silence.

"So, do you remember your name ?" She asked.

"No, actually I don't remember anything. Why are you the only girl ? What is this place ? Why are we here ?" The new greenie said panickly.

"Well, one question by one question. So firstly, it's normal that you don't remember anything. Secondly, it's a Glade the only safe place here. Behind those doors it is not safe and we don't have the right to go through the walls. Thirdly, I don't know why I am the only girl here you should ask the bastards who locked us here. Now stop with the questions." She responded while hanging the greenie's hammock.

She turned to look at him but when she turned he wasn't there. He was walking in direction of the doors.

"Hey ! Greenie ! Are you deaf or something ?" She tells him while running to catch him.

"You can't go behind the walls. The maze is not a safe place." She grabbed his arm.

"The maze ?" he asked while his eyes goes wide.

"What ? I don't know what you talking about. She laughed knowing the thing she had just said.

While she had in her hand the arm of the greenie, Minho and Ben came back from the maze. Minho was looking Eli in the eyes.

She could swear that she saw jealousy in his eyes.

"You find a new boyfriend, Shanket ?" Ben said sarcastically.

"Really funny, Ben. Really." She said sarcastically too.

Minho didn't said a thing he just ran in direction of the Map Room.
