I swiftly made my way towards the Car parking lot and hopped into my car, my hand trembling with anxiety. I tried to calm myself down by taking deep breaths, but it seemed like my nerves were getting the best of me. With a determined look on my face, I stepped on the accelerator and took a sharp turn towards my home.
After driving for around 15 minutes, the familiar sight of my destination came into view. I parked my car and gathered my belongings before making my way towards my house. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the confused expression on my best friend and flatmate Raha's face.
She immediately sensed that something was wrong and got tensed looking at my state. However, she quickly made a way for me to enter the house and bombarded me with a flurry of questions, trying to understand what had happened.
As soon as I reached the couch, Raha handed me a glass of water, which I chugged down in one go. I poured out the details of what had happened, leaving nothing out. Raha's expression was one of shock and disbelief, and she remained speechless for a few moments.
RAHA'S POINT OF VIEW.
I have been friends with Emily for like nine years now.
I immediately sensed that something was amiss and approached her, asking if she was okay. Emily poured out the details of what had happened, including the fact that her ex-boyfriend Christian had suddenly reappeared in her life after years of no contact. She explained how his sudden reappearance had triggered old memories and anxieties, causing her to feel overwhelmed and panicked.
As Emily spoke, I could see the hurt and confusion in her eyes. She had been working hard to recover from her depression and panic attacks, and Christian's unexpected return had thrown her off course. I offered her a glass of water, which she chugged down in one go, and listened as she shared her feelings with me.
I could see just how much Christian's sudden appearance had affected Emily, and it made me angry to think that he could have such a negative impact on her life. After all that she had been through, she deserved to be happy and at peace.
