Pedal boats

"Everyone keep close together and don't split up!" Chan shouted to his 7 kids and me as we were making our way to the beach! In the morning Felix suggested going swimming in the ocean and I mean why the hell not? I bet he and Chan both miss the ocean and I also haven't been swimming for a long time.

The boys were off tour and after a hectic comeback, so they needed to relax. So as their personal assistant I decided to book all of us a vacation to the Hawaii! They were all ecstatic and we took the earliest flight we could.

We arrived at the beach and laid our things down. The boys covered themselves with sunscreen so they won't get tan because of some contract thing, but other than that we were ready to have fun! Felix, Jeongin, Han and Changbin all raced to the ocean. But Han, being the little devil he is, tricked all of us by saying "look there!" and we were all so dumb to actually fall for his little trick!

"Haha! Losers!" Han was laughing at us as we were both sulking in the ocean. "Hey! You cheated!" Jeongin argued back and Felix agreed. Me and Changbin looked at each other, both getting the same idea, as we smirked and I sunk under the water, swimming behind Han. As I resurfaced I heard Changbin: "You know, Han, you shouldn't make so many enemies..." "Yeah! You should really watch your back!" I said as I put all my weight on Han's shoulders, successfully drowning him.

Changbin let out his famous laugh and Jeongin with Felix and me all joined in. As Han resurfaced we could see the rest of the group heading into the water. "Hey! What's happening here?" Chan started questioning us going all father mode. Seungmin laughed at Han's wet figure: "Ooh, this looks fun!" "If you think drowning is fun!" Han said offended. "Depends on who you're drowning." Lee Know added smiling slyly.

"Sometimes I'm really scared of you." I said to Lee Know and he shrugged. Then I put my arm around his shoulders: "But at the same time, I'd love to join you on your murdering sprees!" Lee Know looked and me proudly and gave me a fist bump.

Suddenly I was pushed under the water and held there for a bit. I was struggling to get free but then finally they took their hands off of my shoulders. I resurfaced again seeing the face of Han fucking Jisung: "You piece of shit!" "Don't you go around touching my man, missy!" Han said hugging Lee Know from the side and sticking his tongue out.

I was about to pounce on him but Hyunjin's voice stopped me: "OMG LOOK! THEY HAVE PEDAL BOATS!" All of us looked at the shore and there they were in all of their glory. Felix and Jeongin got super excited and ushered us out of the water. Chan and Hyunjin paid for two boats as me and Seungmin went back to our stuff and got us some goggles and drinks.

All of us met again by the pedal boats and looked around. "So which one should we take?" Chan asked as me and Felix both rushed to a pedal boat. "WE WANT THIS ONE!"we exclaimed as we stood next to a blue and yellow one with a slide. Jeongin and Changbin ran to a red and green one: "AND WE'RE TAKING THIS ONE!" "Fine let's split up into two groups!" Chan instructed and we all scattered.

At the end, it was me, Felix, Lee Know, Han and Hyunjin and Chan, Changbin, Jeongin and Seungmin took the other one. "Okay! Let's get these bad boys into water!" I said and helped push the boats into the ocean. We were struggling a bit with the waves, but we managed. Before all of us got on, me and Hyunjin took the spot of the ones controlling the boat and Chan with Seungmin did the same on the other.

We were paddling into the deeper parts of the ocean, where people usually don't swim and the waves are much calmer. We also wanted to see some pretty fishes! When we deemed our spots good enough we stopped paddling and tried to get closer to each other. "HOW DOES IT FEEL HAVING THE UGLIER BOAT?" Han yelled as our crew mates laughed.

"Yeah? You wanna go, little guy?" Changbin shouted getting ready to jump into the water. I also got out of my spot and climbed the ladder up to the slide. "FIRST SLIDE OF THE DAY!" I yelled as I slid down the slide into the water. The water was so refreshing and clear here, I loved it!

"Wait for me!" Felix exclaimed as he also climbed the ladder, Jeongin and Seungmin doing the same on the other boat. Meanwhile Changbin and Han got fed up of waiting and just jumped into the water. "I think at least on of us should always stay on the boat, so it doesn't row away." Hyunjin said and Chan nodded, seemingly agreeing on being the ones staying behind for now.

Lee Know joined us shortly after and we were all swimming around and splashing each other. "I wanna see some fishes! Can you throw me the goggles, Hyunjin?" I asked him. "Sure, give me a second." he said as he got up and grabbed the goggles. He tried to throw them to me but missed by a long shot. "Oh no! My goggles!" I exclaimed as I saw them falling into the water. Luckily for me, they didn't sink. The reason why scared me though. The got stuck on a buoy that we somehow floated close too.

I was swimming in one spot, not daring to move closer to that thing. "Come on, Marky! Go get them before they fall off!" Seungmin said, patting me on the back. I swallowed hard: "S-sure. No problem, right?" I started slowly swimming to the buoy, trying to not look under the water. Buoys mean chains and I hate these kind of things. I could feel my breathing picking up and I was starting to shake.

"What's taking you so long? You need help?" I heard Hyunjin say and I laughed nervously. "N-no! I can do it!" I stuttered feeling their eyes on me. I could hear Chan's voice from behind me: "Marky? You alright?" I turned around, forcing a smile. "Y-yeah! Everything's f-" I tried to say but suddenly the buoy bumped into me making me go under water and my leg got tangled up in the chain.

I started panicking, kicking around and trying to get my leg free, but it was no use. The surface was so close, yet I was stuck just under it, not being able to go up and get some air. I started slowly losing consciousness, but then I felt myself get set free and being pulled somewhere. I looked around me and saw Changbin, Lee Know and Hyunjin.

When we got to one of the boats, Changbin held me up and Chan pulled me up. I was coughing, trying to catch my breath. Every one gathered around, besides Han, who was now looking after the other boat instead of Hyunjin. "Are you alright? What happened over there?" Chan asked concerned as Jeongin handed me some water. I took a big gulp and tried to calm my breathing: "I-I don't know. One moment I was looking at you and the other my foot was caught in the c-c-chain and I was under the water."

"I'm so sorry, Marky. I should've been more careful." Hyunjin said sadly as he looked down. He must feel horrible. I gave him a side hug: "It's okay, Jinnie. You couldn't have known that was gonna happen." Hyunjin relaxed and hugged me back. "Can I ask you something, Marky?" Changbin asked and I hesitated but nodded. "Are you afraid of these kind of things? You know, like boats, buoys and similar kinds of things?" he asked carefully and I looked at him. I slowly nodded.

"Y-yeah. I don't know why. It just freaks me out seeing these things in the water. Feels like they could drag you under water and drown you, you know, like now..." I finished feeling tears pricking my eyes. Felix quickly came out of the water and hugged me: "Oh no, Marky! You should've told us! We would've been more careful!"

"It's alright. You didn't know and I was too embarrassed to mention it. I thought you would laugh at me." I looked into my lap feeling awkward. "Marky. We would never laugh at you for being afraid of something. You have our word." Chan said as everyone nodded. Lee Know handed me the goggles and put ones on himself: "Now come on! We have some fishes to see!"

I smiled and we all paddled away from the buoys into safer waters with only corals and fishes in sight. Each of us took turns diving and exploring the sea, while at least one of the guys always held my hand so I would feel calmer. We spent the rest of the day on the pedal boats either swimming, jumping into the water or using the slide. I am so happy to have such a great group of friends that won't judge me for anything. And to think we all met because I applied for the position of a personal assistant.
