Terrified.
That was the only feeling looming over me while I was frozen in place, standing in my dorm keeping my fist tightened over my chest, as if I was in a delusional attempt to calm down the fast thumps of my frantic heart.
Ghost was impossibly scary; morbid even. Leisurely sitting with spreading legs, resting his gloved hands over this thighs, with an eerily inviting behavior. His light brown eyes seemed lit in the shadows of my dorm, like a pair of cat eyes glaring into nothing, ready to hunt the victim of his obsession.I cautiously took a step to the side, barely blinking. He was firmly stalking my every move with his cold gaze, making sure I was well aware of his unsettling presence.
- ...Won't you say anything?
- W-would it make a difference if I do...? - I spat.
- It would, luv.
- Stop calling me that.
- Call you what?
- ...Don't make me say it.
- You have your wits. - he chuckled. - It's not easy to lure you in.
- You're a menace, Ghost... And you enjoy yourself into that infamy.
- Bonus of the job.
- Whatever floats your boat. - I crossed my arms over my chest, letting out a loud sigh. - Now, if you excuse me, I want to get some rest. Good to see you again.
He didn't respond or react. He kept staring at me, barely blinking; his eyes gleaming by the dim light. The dreadful silence lasted more than I could handle so I spoke up, trying to avoid a potential disaster.
- ...Is there anything else I could help you with? Because I need to rest before returning to work.
- ... ... - He simply got up from the chair desk, calmly walking towards my direction.
- You're scaring me, Simon.
- Am I?
- Yes, you are. - My tone was broken. I was frightened.
- I don't bite.
- But you surely create problems that can kill, Simon.
- I like the sound of my name on your lips, luv.
- Stop it.
- Stop what? This?
In a quick move, Ghost pulled his skull mask, revealing his stubbed jaw and enticing lips. He simply took a step forward and easily towered me, leaning closer enough to let the tip of his nose skim on mine. He was teasing me, and I was foolishly falling for it.
He was worn out from the mission deployment; his scent was a mixture of sweat, cigarette, dried blood and dirt... And somehow that was attractive. Was I out of my mind?!?
He probably didn't even went after Elise; he simply sneaked straight into my dorm... The obsession was real, scary but exciting... As if he was built to be a twisted sexual dream. I was losing my reason to his seduction. As soon as I felt his gloved hands resting over my hips I instantly reacted poorly, landing a loud slap on his face. He clearly wasn't expecting it; side eyeing me with a mixture of surprise and anger in his gaze. I was shaking, scared of what he could do as retaliation. I scarily glanced at the brazen mark of my hand on his jawline, horrified with what I've just done, but I clearled my throat and spoke up.
- I-I'm sorry, but... But you have to go.
- You're not sorry, luv.
- Please, stop... You have a wife.
- You keep shoving that onto my face, yeah...
- It's the reality of your life, Simon. - I've opened the sliding door. - Deal with it or end it.
