Princess Of Shadows And The Red Ninja

Chapter 1

Five young adults were seated around a table in the cafeteria of Jamanakai University.
"Cole, you totally missed it! Professor Dareth tried to do a gymnastic trick and ended up landing on his face," A towering, youthful adult man with luscious, spiky brown hair and captivating green eyes was dressed in a vibrant red jacket and sleek black jeans. He spoke with an attempt to stifle a laugh, adding to his already charming demeanor as he looked over at his friend.

Cole was also in his early 20s he had longer black hair and light brown eyes that had a tinge of yellow. He had a muscular build and was dressed in a white shirt with black sweatpants, along with a black jacket.

"Oh you think that's good, Kai you know them weird dingley beads things that he has in his doorway? well he got tangled up in them at the beginning of class it was amazing!" spoke A young woman with Raven hair tied in a ponytail and striking green eyes stood before them. She wore a fashionable black and white crop top paired with light blue jeans and a matching jacket.

"Oh yeah and he found out about me and Jay were dating he was so weird about it" spoke
The young man before them was scrawny, with short ginger hair that seemed to stand on end. His dark blue eyes were flecked with freckles, giving him a boyish charm. He was dressed in a matching dark blue jacket and jeans, with a light blue scarf which earned a nod of approval from the raven-haired woman standing nearby.

"To be fair, Nya's relationship with Jay is not what most people consider a typical heterosexual one." The person speaking is a young man in his early adulthood, with a head full of blondish silver hair. His eyes were a striking light blue shade which complemented his formal attire consisting of a whitish light blue shirt. He completed his outfit with a pair of dark blue jeans that added a hint of casualness to his overall appearance.

Kai P.O.V
"I have to say, Zane, that we don't quite fit the definition of 'normal'." I turned my head towards Zane and replied, "How's it going with Skyler? You guys seem to be pretty close. Any updates on that front?" my younger sister, Nya spoke up While glancing towards me. "The relationship didn't go far, unfortunately. She lost interest and her attention shifted towards someone else." I responded as I focused on eating my breakfast.

"Dude we're not even a full two weeks into college and you've already been dumped" Cole's face lit up with amusement, and he quickly placed his hand over his mouth in a futile attempt to stifle his laughter. As I was about to make my response, the sudden ringing of the Bell disrupted my focus and reminded me that it was time to head to my first class.
Luckily enough the entire group had the same first-period class with an older woman named Misako as their professor she was the college's history teacher.

we made it to the lecture hall relatively fast we entered the room and greeted the professor as we went by her walking up to our seats and sat down we continued to talk among ourselves as everyone made their way in and took their seats. after a second Bell rings the professor walks over and closes the door before walking over to her podium for roll call.

I didn't really pay attention to the roll call all that much. "Smith, Kai?" Professor Misako called "Here" I responded as I grabbed my things out of my bag and put them on the Lectern. "Here" Nya called out moments later before turning her attention to stealing one of my pencils. "Know if you came more prepared you wouldn't have to steal my stuff" I spoke looking over at her. "you dare use my own spells against me pattah" she responded with a Severus Snape voice pretty much voicing the irony that only last year it was I who was stealing her pencils in high school.

By the near end of class, Jay and Cole had also taken a pencil from me but that was mostly because Zane threatened to stab them with his pencil if they dared take one of his which I don't blame him for the week before they pretty much were borrowing pencils from him the entire week. "Ah yes, the midday interns you all need to be making your way to your internships" Professor Misako spoke looking at the clock.

I and the others Quietly got up not to disturb those who were still working in class. we walked down the steps to the door quietly exiting the lecture hall. quietly talking among each other as we made our way down the hallway. "We finally get to see where the ninja mechs are made" Jay exclaimed excitedly. "Jay we've been to Borg Industries several times before" Cole responded looking over the blue-cladded Ginger.

"Oh I know but we'll get to see how they were made" Jay spoke as we continued on our way down the hallway. "We might even find our sixth member I mean Sensei's been wanting us to find a green ninja since high school" Zane chimed in bringing our attention to him. "I mean if you want to be technical that would be a seventh-person phantom's still hanging around somewhere and he comes in and helps with the fight now and then" Nya responded reminding us of the phantom ninja.

"Well he's technically not a full member of the team he just randomly shows up he doesn't even have a mech" Jay stated. "Jay may I remind you you were the last of the group to get a mech" I responded looking over at the shortest of the group. "well to be fair my mech's the only flying mech of the group" Jay exclaimed waving off the comment as we made our way out of the college and down to a bus.

We lined up and loaded up onto a bus. Sitting down in close vicinity of each other "I'm so glad we're not expected to find our own way to our internships" Nya spoke letting out a sigh of relief. "I have yet to fix our car hence why we've been walking from our dorm to the store to get groceries" Nya explained referring to our broken down car that the group usually takes to get places in its parking spot outside the dorms.

I happen to turn my attention to the front of the bus to see a pretty blonde woman with long hair partly tied up in a bun with a purple ribbon. the down part of her hair reached to her lower back. she had deep emerald green eyes. She had a choker with a purple Crystal moon on it around her neck. She wore a tie-dyed t-shirt with a green long-sleeve shirt under it and bleached blue jeans. "How much do I owe you for the bus ride?" The blonde asked the driver. "Nothing Miss as long as you're an intern in a school you ride the bus to Borg Industries for free" the driver responded.

I watched that's the pretty blonde walk down the aisle and take a seat close to the group. after a moment I felt a smack on my head looking over to see it was my sister who smacked me. "What was that for??" I asked rubbing my head while I was hit. "Dude we were calling your name you did not respond to us. the moment you saw her you kind of just zoned out" Nya explained. "he can't help it when he sees pretty things his brain just stops." Cole joked letting out a chuckle. "he did the same thing the first time he saw Skyler." Jay spoke as Nya went to take a look at the beautiful blonde. "I mean shit if I wasn't straight for Jay. I'd be going after that" Nya exclaimed quietly.

"damn, Jay I think you're about to lose your girlfriend." Cole joked looking at the ginger and then back at the raven-haired girl. "Oh no I'm losing my girlfriend to her BI ness," Jay responded as Nya placed to kiss on his cheek. "Nah I love your anxiety ass," Nya exclaimed with a smile.
