Half an hour bus ride later the group departed the bus making their way into the huge skyscraper in front of them. being greeted by Cyrus Borg in the lobby of the building.
"Hello, interns and future employees welcome to Borg Industries the biggest tech empire in Ninjago City!" Borg greeted. enthusiastically "No matter how many times we're here it never gets less amazing." Nya exclaimed quietly to Jay. he nodded in agreement with a big smile. Borg held his hand up that held cards. "These are you're intern IDs. They will let you in certain parts of the building, and if you have to go anywhere by bus or Subway. Scan this it will keep you from paying. It will pay. if you need to go to the grocery store and take a bus use your pass. As long as you work for me I will pay for transport" Borg explained to the group of interns.
"That's a relief" Nya mumbled from right beside Kai. "I was worried for a moment there. we might have to take some of the parts off the Mechs to fix the car" Nya whispered to Kai. "Would any of the Mech parts even be useful for the car?" Kai whispered back "Eh I would have found a way" She responded in a whisper.
"Smith, Nya?" Borg's voice brought siblings out of their conversation. "Uh??" Nya muttered in confusion. "You're intern ID" Jay and another voice spoke in unison. Kai looked behind him to see it was the pretty blonde. Nya quickly walked up grabbing her intern ID. "Julian, Zane" Borg called reading off the next ID Zane quietly walked up grabbing his ID. "Montgomery, Luna?" Borg called after a moment of reading the ID. The beautiful blonde quietly walked up grabbing the ID card before bowing to Borg as a sign of respect. "Luna... It's a pretty name" Nya hummed looking at Luna. "Thank you" Luna responded bowing her head to Nya.
"Nya Right?" Luna asked looking over at the Raven-haired woman. She hummed in response indicating that her name was Nya. "So what are some of the best places here to get lunch?" The blonde asked as she put her ID in the Lanyard around her neck. "I'm new to Ninjago City. the most I know about the city is where the dorms are and where the college is" she explained. "oh Where you from then?" Nya asked "Jamanakai village" Luna responded again.
"Oh well, there's this restaurant named Mister Chen's noodle house. me and my friends go too often" Nya explained as the brunette in blue with a red scarf joined the conversation. Getting up in Nya's personal space. "Oh Mister Chen's noodle house has the best puffeypot stickers ever"
Nya pushed Jay back a bit. "Jay, You sound like Professor Dareth saying that" Nya spoke with a smirk looking at the freckled brunette.
"Well he's got good taste in food" Jay responded as Kai walked back to the group putting his intern ID in his jeans pocket. "Who's got a good taste in food?" Kai asked jumping into the conversation. "Professor Dareth." Jay, Nya, and Luna responded in unison. Nya looked over at the blonde. "Do you have Professor Dareth in the class?" Nya asked with a raised eyebrow. "Yeah, he's a funny sad little man. I think my favorite thing he's ever done is got caught up in those little bead streamers in his door." Luna giggled at the memory. "Wait a minute. what period Do you have with Professor Dareth?" Nya asked remembering the scene as well.
"Well he was my second-period class before I started the internship," Luna explained gaining a somewhat confused and somewhat happy expression from the group. "We were in the same class," Nya spoke looking at Kai and then back to Luna. "Yeah, we have the same homeroom too. I actually sit in the row right behind your group." Luna replied shifting the weight from one leg to the other so her leg doesn't go numb. "Wait a minute really?" Kai asked with a shocked smile. "Mhm. I actually sit directly behind you. Looking through Your spiky hair is like mountains. Actually, I have a drawing inspired by your spiky hair looking like mountains." Luna responded as she pulled out a small drawing book opened it to a certain page, And showed them the drawing.
The group marveled at the pencil drawing of mountains and clouds and even a cherry blossom tree on one of the smaller mountains. "Oh so pretty!" Nya exclaimed excitedly. "Do you draw like this often??" Nya asked with a smile grabbing the book to get a better look. "Yeah, uh, I mostly draw moon and cherry blossom-related stuff," Luna replied blushing slightly at the attention. "Now that everyone has their intern IDs let's get onto the tour." Cyrus Borg spoke as a female robot walked towards the group. "My name is P.I.X.E.L and I Am Cyrus Borg's personal assistant. Now If you all will follow me we can begin the tour." The robotic assistant spoke giving a little bow before motioning the group to follow her.
The tour went on showing the group most of the building. The group walked through two different doors into a big lab area. "This is the main robotic lab. Where we make anything from small robots to even giant Mechs." P.I.X.E.L spoke gesturing from a small bot being worked on to a giant half-completed water spider mech hanging from the ceiling. "Whoa. My new Spider Mech looks even awesomer in person!" Nya Whispered to Kai. Who smiled at his little sister's excitement. Luna subtly took a picture of the half-finished Mech with a small camera. Before subtly putting it away looking around to see if anyone saw her.
"The main robotics lab will be the only lab that you all will be allowed into. Unless you are given permission otherwise but even then you'll need someone with a higher access than your IDs." P.I.X.E.L explained as the group continued on their tour. "Are we allowed to know what's in the other labs?" An intern from another school asked. Luna paid close attention to the answer. "Well, the other labs are the more dangerous labs. One of our other labs does most of the work for the secret ninja force's Mechs. While another one is a weapons lab. You interns will not be allowed in that lab under any circumstances." P.I.X.E.L explained carefully.
"So more than one lab plays a part in making the mechs...Very interesting." Luna thought to herself she did a quick scan of her surroundings. "And it seems the water ninja's mech is in the middle of being repaired or rebuilt. Father will definitely find this interesting"
The tour continued on as the group made their way through the building their next stop being Cyrus Borg's office. They walked into the room to see Cyrus Borg in front of his computer. "This is where you will find Mr Borg most of the time," P.I.X.E.L. spoke as the group watched Cyrus Borg work on something at his desk. "It isn't uncommon for Mr borg to spend hours working on blueprints of his latest idea. In hopes to make a better world."
"And don't be surprised if you see a Ninja or two. They stop by from time to time. They never stay for long though." P.I.X.E.L spoke turning towards the group as she guides them back out of the office. The group arrives back down at the lobby wear another robot stood holding a stack of papers. "Oh yes this is one of the building security his name is cryptor. He is the head of security to be exact." P.I.X.E.L explained walking up towards cryptor grabbing the stack of papers from him. "And these are what you will be doing for your first week as an intern here." P.I.X.E.L spoke handing everyone the sheet of paper with their names on it.
"You all have been inside an engineer in the main robotics lab and a guard in the building to watch for your first week and after your first week you will become their helper." P.I.X.E.L explained to the group. Before looking outside to see buses lined up. "That is the end of the tour. I hope you all have a amazing time as interns here. And everyone have a nice day." P.I.X.E.L waved as the group started to load onto their buses head back to their colleges.
