"Great you drove her off!" I exclaimed, walking in the direction she took off in. I was ticked, don't you mess with my Beta.
"I'm sorry! And what did she mean her dad died fighting for them? I'm confused." I narrowed my eyes towards her.
"Her father was a Marine." I pushed myself forward. "He died fighting for his country, so Tess was stuck with Sam."
"God I can't believe I did that... I just want to find Zach and Gray. " I rolled my eyes.
"And she wants to find Sam. Just be careful what you say, because the last time I brought up her parents it was really awkward."
"How?" I saw her hands meeting the top of her white blouse and she undid the buttons. I turned my head, thinking back to what happened. It was only a bit after I met her, and she drove me nuts.
"Well..."
"Hello Beta!" I saw the girl sitting in the nursery, holding little Charlie. She glanced up from her spot as little dinosaurs trotted around her.
"It's Alpha." she snapped. I rolled my eyes, taking a seat on the empty floor next to her. I saw Blue and Delta walk up to me, their golden eyes big. Delta took three more steps before pushing her head under my hand.
"She's showing you respect." Tess said leaning in, Charlie had her feet pressed into her palm as her arms were on Tess's hair. I glanced back over, watching as she pulled her head away. Echo stood up on her small legs, before running over to Tess.
"How do I return that respect?" I asked, watching the baby raptors with big eyes. Tess leaned over, grabbing my hand with her unoccupied one. She guided it towards Delta, holding it close to her jaw.
"like this." She guided her hand to the spot where Delta's neck met her jaw. She trailed it towards her mouth, before pulling away. I was breathing heavy, watching the dinosaur infront of me with awe.
"Good." Tess pulled her hand away to scoop up Echo, smiling as the small raptor nibbled into her thumb. Their teeth hadn't grown in yet, thank god.
"So, tell me about your family." I asked, watching Blue walk on my leg. She curled up into my lap as Delta tried climbing up to my shoulder.
"You asked her? What did she say?" I looked over, my eyes telling her to shut up and continue with the story.
"Um... what do y-you want to know?" she stuttered, watching Echo climb onto her left shoulder. I helped Delta out, so she could finally stay perched on my right shoulder. The siblings glanced at eachother.
"Well um, do you have any siblings? What are your parents like? Are you a Daddy's girl? Ya know the basics." I saw as Delta leaned towards her sibling.
"Well um... I have a sister named Sammy, but we call her Sam. She is funny, cute, nice, etc. She came with me onto the island, and she is probably at Gentle Giants right now." Delta and Charlie were playing with eachother by our shoulders. Delta started to bite the top of her sisters mouth, by the nose.
"How old is she?"
"Twelve." I nodded, watching Charlie snort. I smiled at the two, god they were weird.
"Do you have any siblings?" she asked, moving Echo towards her knee.
"Yeah. I have an older brother named Clyde. He's twenty eight, making him three years older. He's a goofball, and a stubborn shit. He lives by my parents, and they are really sweet." she smiled, watching Echo jump onto my knee.
